Saving Scrapis is Simply Brilliant!

I am a funny one for hoarding wee scraps "just in case", especially if I really liked the paper, so I was filled with glee that this weeks less is moore challenge is all about using scraps - perfect! This is the card that I have also made for the LITTLE RASCALS challenge that I am currently hosting on Docrafts, where the theme is to make a card for a male to include food and/or drink.

...............and whilst I am on the subject of Glee, there is lots of happy dancing in my house this week as it is back on Sky1 on Thursday at 9pm,,,,,,,,whoop!

Very late with this one!

We are now well into week 2 of our "Happy" challenge at AUD SENTIMENTS, and this is my DT card - this was supposed to have been uploaded on Thursday, however on Wednesday night our hard drive tower started making a funny noise, so it all got shut down until hubby had chance to have a look yesterday. Turns out a wire had come loose and was bumping into the fan, so we are all up and running now and my mobile phone is having a well deserved rest, lol!
Anyway, the image i've used on this card is from Ai factory who are sponsering us this time, I put the sentiment together myself using "Janda Romantic" font.

Above is my own DT cards, which you can see, together with the other wonderful DT creations. This super cute little mousie is from Di's digi designs. The paper is from Papermania "blueberry hill", I love it 'cos its got a yummy Cath Kidston look about it, I made the the two sentiment tickets

myself. This card was made for a lovely fellow Docrafter, Sandra, who celebrated a very special birthday recently. I have also added a couple of "close-ups"

I've been making babies..........

dont worry, not "real ones"!!!! Have been working on a card for the Little Rascals Challenge (on Docrafts), where the theme is very little rascals, so I decided to make a baby boy card, and dug out an old friend of mine, the sizzix bitty baby die - havent used this in ages.

I was never very good at drawing faces on these, so I put a basics together on page plus and then printed out a whole bunch of them just to get the right size, I had already cut out one baby with tracing paper to be able to then to cut the little chappie out with everything in the right place! 

used Papyrus font for this sentiment.

Sooooo glad its Friday!

Because its been a busy old week, and now, as its half term, Im taking a few days off work!! I am planning to get a start on painting our bedroom (the bubblegum pink HAS GOT TO GO!!!), so its not going to be a leisurely break, but at least I get a few lay-ins!

Anyway, the card I have here I have made for the Digi/Stamping Challenge that I am currently hosting over on the Docraft site. The theme is birthday cards, with an appropriate sentiment and an image which features flowers. I have been seeing a lot of cards recently using Kraft paper, which I kinda like, and I know its not quite the same, but I found a manilla envelope in a draw and thought i'd see what I could do. Have printed the faux stitching and used the completely yummy Coco from Digi stamp boutique for my chosen image. The mini envelope is from a Woodware punch, which i've had for a couple of years, have hardly used, and have forgotten how sweet it was!

'Cos look what she went a brought me back from Hobbycrafts/Creative Stitches event at Bluewater last week! I couldnt get there myself after all, but she had gone up on the Thursday with a couple of her friends to get wool and jewellery making stuff for their craft group and, bless her, she got me a few goodies too

I know im a bit of a saddo, but I just cant wait to rip open that bag of card candi, and seperate the colours in my card candi box!!!

Anything But a card with The Cutie Pies

Yep, I dont know where the goes, but its challenge day again with THE CUTIE PIE CHALLENGE BLOG, and as the title says this time we would like to see "anything but a card"  Some of you may know that i've been playing around with a bit of digi-scrapping of late, so when I found out that this was theme, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to create something using a particular favourite Cutie Pie of mine, my gorgeous step-grandson, Harlin. He lives with his Daddy and Mummy in Morayshire, Scotland and we are all the way down in Kent, so we only really get to see him once a year, but when we do, we make sure we have lots of fun!
