Been doing a little bit of paper piecing....

Hi all......hope you're enjoying your weekend so far! Had intended to get up early....get the housework done this morning and then spend the afternoon crafting - didnt work out quite that way, slept in till nearly 10am and then the hubby decides that he fancies a mooch around The Range for baking tins (he's been watching the "bake-off" on the telly this week and now think he is Paul Hollywood - I should be so  lucky!!!!)  So housework didnt get a look in....we poodled out and came back a wee while later with no baking tins but a couple of packs of white square cards (just to top up!)

The downside is that so far i've only had time to work on this card. Printed, coloured and "dressed" this image a couple of days ago when I spotted that Simon says stamps challenge this week is Paper Piecing - I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I love doing this, especially when it comes to making little dresses for my girlies!
What I've used:
Image from The Digi Garden, coloured with Promarkers
Paper is from 7Gypsies
Cheery Lynn border die
birthday wording is a section of a cuttlebug folder
pearls from Meiflower
ribbon from stash

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

off now to investigate a rather yummy, bready smell wafting up from the kitchen....catch you all later xx

A Wintery One!

Hope the weeks is going well so far, the kids are back at school, life is getting back to normal and I even had some time to craft yesterday.....just 'cos I felt like it, Yay!

So, onto todays card and its a bit of a sad one for me, as this is my last DT card for AUD SENTIMENTS. Having decided after 18mths that it was the right time for me to stand down from the team. They are the most wonderful group of ladies and hugely talented crafters too, and I will miss them very much. This was my first DT post, and being part of such a supportive team has been a real confidence booster.

Our theme this time is "ANY WINTER SENTIMENT", and for my card I have used a Bugaboo image, who are also our sponsors. The sentiment is my own work. The snowflakes are a Marianne die, buttons and bow from stash.

Hope you've all had a lovely Christmas time, I cant believe how quickly the time has passed since my last post, we have been staying with my parents over Christmas and the New Year and have hardly had anytime to get near the pc, but Im back with you now!

So, for my first post of the year - another first! These are my first DT cards as a

I am on the monthly challenge team, and our theme for January is BIRTHDAYS

The first card, obviously, had to be a Forever Friends image, which I have cut and mounted using Go Kreate dies, the paper is from Papermania, the ribbon, pearls and slider are from my stash and the flowers are a Joycraft die.

Second up, and I've used an image from one of our lovely sponsors - the digi garden - isnt he cute, he looks so much like my Cameron. I have used the trusty swiss dots folder together with a button and twine from my stash and gingham washi tape.

Very much looking forward to the year ahead, and visiting all of your wonderful blogs
