SEEING SPOTS....AND DOTS.....WITH THE CUTIE PIES!

Hi and thank you for your visit today! So I have to 'fess up here, that I am a wee bit late in posting my DT card for this weeks CUTIE PIE CHALLENGE having become a little engrossed with the winter Olympics - I'm married to a Scotsman, so Curling is a must see in my house, although I've also enjoyed the snowboarding and the various ice skating events too, maybe its apt then that my card today is a wintery one!

So, the theme for the latest Cutie Pie challenge is
SPOTS AND DOTS
We are lucky enough to have two lovely  sponsors
Sweet Stamps
http://www.sweetstamps.com/
 and

  From the Heart
http://fromtheheartstamps.com/shop/

They are both offering amazing prizes, for more details of this and the other stunning DT cards click the link at the top!

For my own DT card I used Winter Dog Walk, from From The Heart, she is a little treat to colour, and I used my promarkers to do so. The blue dotty paper was a scrap that I was happy to make use of. I also used Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder on Kraft and edged this with faux stitching. The Snowflake die is a Marianne, with button from stash and twine from Homebase.

I would like to enter this into:

Look forward to seeing your super cute spotty and dotty cards!

A BLOGAVERSARY GIFT TO YOU ALL FROM ME!!!

Four years ago today, I was enjoying a week off from work, I was already a member of a popular craft forum but I was growing more interested in doing something a little more personal to me, and I was enjoying looking at other peoples blogs, so after the initial faffing and fluffing behind the scenes, I took the plunge and published my first post.....eeek, that was a daunting thing, but I must've quite enjoyed it 'cos here I am, four years on and still at it!!! What a four years its been too, I didn't think at first that I would be even brave enough to enter a blog challenge, and here I am now running one! I have delighted in watching my children grow from being children into the fine, young people that they are now, I have gained another dog.....we had and then said goodbye to our puppy, I moved house and  have had a four different cars too! I have had some amazingly happy times, and some not so great days but my wonderful blog has been a constant source of happiness to me, and regardless of whatever life is throwing at me, when I am here, I am One Happy Little Crafter!

I wanted to say thank you to those that have been with me right from the start and to those that I've met along the way........I know that very often these are occasions that people offer candy, but it seemed a shame just to be able to give something to one or two of you, sooooo.........I would like to give you all a little something, please feel free to help yourselves to these digi sentiments with my love, hugs and thanks!

* These sentiments are png files that can be right-clicked and saved or copied and pasted into Word, Paint, Serif page plus and the like. If you are able to make use of any of these I would love to see your creations, I would just ask if you could link back to me here.....and please, please, please don't pass them off as your own work, yes this has happened to me in the past!

My First Criss-Cross!

Hello, hope you're all having a good weekend, as rubbish as the weather is at the moment, the plus side of it has to be staying indoors to craft!
I was inspired to make today's card having received the most beautiful card, this week, from the amazingly talented Teresa, I loved the shape of it, and as such thought it high time I had a go at a criss-cross. Ok, so I'm not in the same league, but I was pleased with the way it turned out.

This will be a Mothers Day card for my kids to send to their Grandma, she has a thing for cute wild creatures, so for her Hedgie is always a great choice.
The image is coloured with promarkers and a little added ice crystal stickles, and cut out with Go Kreate dies, and a gorgeous doily die. The papers are "Blooming Rose from Joycraft, and together with the "Sugar and Spice" Hobby House pearls, came from J &C Creations. Ribbon from The Range. The blooms are from Mulberry crafts and I thought it would be a different touch to secure then with a large brad.
The sentiment is my own, using Times New Roman and Alex Brush font.

I have added a small detail shot to show the lovely glitteryness of the paper and the blooms.

I would like to enter this into:
penny black at allsorts - make it sparkle!
penny black saturday challenge - for someone special (very)
allsorts challenge - use brads
dis dig idesigns - bingo! Doily, Flowers, Stitching (on ribbon)
hobby house challenge - anything goes (HH pearls used)
stampin for the weekend - flower power
wags n whiskers - bingo Doily, Pink & Pearls

Before, I pop off now, I would like to invite you all to come and visit my blog tomorrow, Sunday, for a little celebration and a giveaway of sorts...ooooh!

Whats new Pussycat?

Hello there, and thanks for popping by today, hope that wherever you happen to be reading this you are not too troubled by the terrible weather conditions we are suffering just now.

So how's your weekend going and did my post title get you singing? I am thoroughly enjoying The Voice on BBC1 at the moment, but although I may have quoted a Tom Jones lyric here, its Team Ricky for me (its the blue eyes that do it!!!!)

For todays card I have used an image from the LOTV "just for girls" sketch pad, which was in my Christmas stocking from the lovely hubby, it is coloured with promarkers, and I have edged the image with frosted lace stickles. The paper is from a Lucy Cromwell stash. The die is a Joanna Sheen Signature die (also in my Christmas stocking, the old chap did well this year!) Hobby House pearls added as a finishing touch.
I would like to enter this card into LOTV MONTHLY CHALLENGE - name that tune, as my title suggests its, "what's new pussycat".

Whatever you have planned for the rest of the weekend - enjoy! Sunday, will be a lazy, restful one for me in preparation of starting my new working hours on Monday morning - starting at 7am is not a prospect I look forward too, but am loving the idea of finishing at 12, and having the afternoon to myself......what ever will I do to fill the time, hehehe

My Cutie Valentine!

How can it possibly be Monday again already, where did that weekend go! Hello, by the way and thanks for popping in, hope you had a good weekend. We were lucky enough to have respite from the rain yesterday, so we wrapped up cosy and warm and took the dogs for a good stretch of the legs along the River Medway, and blew the cobwebs away, a treat!
Anyway, Monday it is, and its time for a new challenge with The Cutie Pies and for the next two weeks we're getting a bit slushy and romantic in preparation for 14th Feb, with our theme being
My Cutie Valentine!
After 18yrs together (13 married) the hubby and I don't really do Valentines so much, so I decided that my own DT card, should have a more unconventional colour scheme. My image is from 2Cute Ink who are very kindly sponsoring this challenge, isn't it a sweetie! This has been coloured with promarkers, have used a Nellie Snellen die here too. The green paper is from Dovecraft and the blue gingham is a freebie download from Bev Rochester's blog, pearls and ribbon from stash. The sentiment is my own creation, who else would come up with something so daft, lol!

We have some other amazing cards from the Cutie DT to inspire you, so to check these out and also take part, click the link at the top of this post......we look forward to seeing you!

I would also like to enter this into these challenges:

thanks again for your visit today, sending big hugs xx

Happy Saturday!

Hello my lovely friends and thank you for popping in, hope you're having a good weekend!
After a relentlessly busy week, I had a lieu day from work yesterday, so the dogs got an extra long walk in the morning, and after a bit of light housework, I managed a little crafting time,  to get the mojo up and running, I went in search of a sketch to play with, which resulted in this card.....
The image is from Bugaboo and is coloured with the promarkers, the papers are from a Bo Bunny stack, have added a doily from Dovecraft. The sentiment was created by the lovely Kerry (pickle) and is layered onto a lacy circle die. buttons and ribbon from stash.

This is the sketch that I based this card on:

wags n whiskers rubber stamps

as well as this challenge, I would also like to enter
crafty catz weekly challenge - anything goes
qkr stampede - anything goes
catch the bug - february, anything goes
my sheri crafts - delightful digi's

enjoy the rest of your weekend, whatever you're up too!
