The Cuties want to see your dies and punches!

Hello there, and thank you for your visit today! Hope you had a lovely weekend, and didn't forget to put your clocks forward!

Its been a busy couple of weeks for me both with work and also having a bit of a spring clean around the house so not so much blogging time for me :(
I'm glad to be here today, though, as I have a new cutie pie challenge to tell you about.......our theme this time is
DIES AND PUNCHES
We are lucky enough to have two lovely sponsors this time:

 and

both are offering fab prizes, so with that and also some amazing inspiration from our super talented team, its worth you hopping over for a peep!

We were treated to some wonderful images from A Random Fan, to play with....and as you can see I used one for my own DT card (they are super cute images and a little treat to colour, so go check them out!) My image is coloured with promarkers, the papers were from a stack that my super shopper Mum, found in our local The Works, but I'm not too sure what brand they are.
Dies used: Go kreate fancy square and Memory Box Fremont Crest
Punches: Xcut scalloped border, woodware flowers
buttons and ribbon from stash.

'Cos Mums are Cuties Too!

Hi and thanks for popping in, hope you had a lovely weekend.
So its time for a new challenge with
and, very aptly at the moment, our theme is
A Cute One For Mum!

We are lucky enough to have two wonderful  sponsors for this challenge!
We welcome Buuny Zoes, who are with us for the first time and will be offering an amazing prize of
http://www.bunnyzoescrafts.com/
to our DT chosen winner........and that's not all
our lovely friends at Bugaboo are also offering a prize of

http://www.bugaboostamps.com/

So with that and some amazing DT cards....you should come and take a look!
For my own DT card I used one of the images that our lovely Bugaboo friends, gave us to play with....and made a card for my Mum! I had already made a Grandma card for her, so I decided to go for a different style and go C&S for this card. The image is coloured with promarkers, the scalloped border was made with an Xcut punch, the tabs at the top are Washi tape and added dewdrops to finish. The sentiment was part of the image and my Mum does enjoy a pun, so I'm sure she'll like this one.

While I'm here I have another little cutie to show you.........most of you will know that our Daisy had a one puppy litter back in November, and the adorable Hugo went to live with his new family quite a few weeks ago, well when we went, the lady did promise to keep it touch, and every few weeks she sends me a picture....this came through yesterday - isn't he a handsome little soul!!! He looks so much like his Westie dad, but with his Mums colouring.

Anyway, thanks again for your visit.......take care and I'll catch up with you  as the week goes on xx

One For My Brother!

I have a bit of a special card to share with you all today, Ok it looks just like any card but this is the card that I made for my brother for his 44th birthday last Friday.......its special because, by his own admission, its a birthday that he spent a lot of last year thinking he might not get too.  We think he is a bit of a super-hero because of the way he has fought against cancer (note, the little c here, it doesn't deserve a capital letter!) Bless his heart, he still has a long way to go, but all of his treatment and operations so far have been highly successful, he is gaining weight nicely and is managing what he is and isn't allowed to eat. He hopes, at some point, to be able to be to work with the hospital in supporting patients during the difficult early stages of their illness.......and I think he will be blooming good at it!

I was lucky enough to win this image from A Random Fan in a recent FB draw, it was love at first sight too, he is coloured with promarkers. The sentiment is printed directly onto Kraft, the dotty paper is from Bo Bunny. Buttons and twin from stash.

I would like to enter this into:
a random fan - birthdays
sentimental sundays - card for a man/boy
sweet stampin - inspired by book/film title 2nd entry (when I first saw this digi image the first thing that came to my mind, was a book my son used to love...Captain Underpants!
creative corner - button up
nutcrafters - boys, boys. boys

thanks for visiting today.....sending you biggest of hugs xx

Got that Monday Feeling!

Hi all, hope your week has got off to an ok start, why is it sooo hard to drag yourself out of bed on a Monday morning!?!

So, I decided I needed a wee playtime this afternoon and went looking for a sketch to jump start the mojo........this is the end result:

This is a super cute Bugaboo image, which is coloured with promarkers, the paper is an oldie which I found tucked away in a folder, I've no idea where it came from, the sentiment was made using a Crafts too embossing folder and the fishtail was created using the bottom end of an Xcut star shaped die, button was rescued from an old pair of jim-jams that Megan has outgrown.

This is the sketch that I'd used:  which is currently the theme of digi sketch challenge, to which I'd like to enter this card (I hope that the pattern in the paper allows for the top and bottom detail of this sketch)

I would also like to enter:
dis digi designs - make it green
catch the bug - anything goes
sweet stampin - inspired by a book or a film ("about a boy")
divas by design - masculine

that's about it from me just for now, I think its time for a cuppa and a browse at your blogs!

A bit of James on a Friday!

Hello there to you all, well as I type this its Friday afternoon....wooohoooo!  So glad its Friday, hope you've had a great week. After having last week off my back to work gloomies were lifted on Monday when I found out that I was the winner of last months LOTV challemge!!!! I was lucky enough to choose three stamps, which were sent super speedily and already have had a bit of an inking, the lovely James was the first to make it as far as a card, so that's what I have for you today......

I have coloured James with daisy with the promarkers, the gorgeous papers are from a country companions pack that my Mum found for the princely sum of 99p in our local The Works (she can sniff a bargin out from a mile off, lol), the bow and twine are from Dovecraft packs, the flowers are a joycraft die cut with buttons from stash, and the sentiment is my own, using a font called Zipty-do, which is quite possibly my favourite.

I would like to enter this into:
passion for promarkers - flowers
sweet stamps - spring flowers
crafting for all seasons - spring into spring

We're hoping for some fairly good whether here this weekend, in which case the strimmer will be dusted off and our washing line salvaged.....have a lovely weekend, whatever you have planned. xx
