April Showers Bring The Cutest of May Flowers

Hello there, hope you are fine and well and having  good week so far.

So, Monday saw the start of a brand new challenge with THE CUTIE PIES and our theme this time is
April Showers Bring May Flowers.
As you can see from my own DT card I have leaned more toward the flowers than the showers!

our lovely friends at
are sponsoring this challenge  and as you can see, there is a fabulous prize for one lucky winner.

Back to my own DT card, and I have used another of the LOTV sketch pad images, which I've coloured with the promarkers. The dotty paper came from a me to you stack, the section in the middle is a section from an Embossolicious folder, which I put through the big shot and then used white gel pen to outline to embossing. Finished with flowers, buttons, lace and a pearl.

I never got around to uploading this card on Monday as the hubby and I went out for lunch to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary, and spent the afternoon enjoying the sunshine at a local country park, whilst Nippy and Daisy were at their groomers......both came out looking absolutely adorable! Do you wanna see.............

enjoy the rest of your day, and thanks again for your visit

One of the bestest things about this hobby......

.....is when the card you make is for someone that you care about!
Hi and thank you for popping in today, hope your weekend is going well. After a lay-in this morning, I went and did the weekly food shop with Megan and then decided to have a slightly more relaxing afternoon and make cards for a couple of birthdays that are coming soon.

The first of these is the card I am sharing today, which is for my very good friend, who also happens to be my boss! She is a bit of a mad cat lady,  so this super sweet LOTV image was a no-brainer!, I went for quite subtle colours to suit the papers, and have used the trusty promarkers to colour. The papers came from a stack of prettiness that my Mum found in The Works, the lace is also from there. The dies I've used here are a spellbinders lacy circle and a cuttlebug tag. The flower came from a dovecraft pack, the pearls and twine are from stash
To get my mojo up and running, I used this sketch from this weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge
                                                   Lou's sketch challenge 244
I would like to enter this into these challenges, please:
Passion for Promarkers - sketch (I hope that turning this on its side is acceptable, if not, I am  sorry and please feel free to disregard.
stampin for the weekend - buttons and bows
crafty little fairies challenge - furry friends
dis digi designs challenge - .birthdays

I've two more birthday cards to make, so I'm gonna love  you and leave you here, but thanks for your visit, take care and have a lovely weekend xx

One for the Bank Holiday DIYers

Hi there and thanks ever so for popping in! Hope you've had a lovely weekend....and haven't gone too crazy with the choccie eggs!

For those of your that don't know in "real life" I work in a DIY store and this time of year is by far the busiest for us, so many people plan projects to do over the long weekend......so if any of you have had to spend your weekend with a paintbrush in your hand....you have my sympathy, lol!

This adorable stamp is "a lick of paint" from LOTV, isn't it a sweetie! I have coloured this with promarkers, the gingham paper is a freebie download from Bev Rochester's blog, the button and twine are from stash. The colour strips "followed" me home from work, as I thought they'd make a smashing addition to this card.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:

thanks again for stopping by, enjoy what's left of the weekend. xx

All about the Bunnies!

Hi there, thank you for visiting.....its been a busy old week for me here, and, having been a bit preoccupied with "behind the scenes" DT stuff, I completely forgot to do my own DT post...big ooops!!!  So, here goes,
The theme for the new CUTIE PIE CHALLENGE is
Anything but a Card with Easter Bunnies
we are kindly sponsored by the wonderful
who, as well as offering a lovely prize, also let us have some fabby images to play with.

For my own DT project, I made this wall hanging decoration. The image is coloured with promarkers, the papers are from Dovecraft, the sentiment is my own creation using Zitpy-do font and have used an Xcut scalloped edge border punch. Buttons and ribbon from stash.

Hope you all have a blessed and peaceful Easter weekend......go easy on the choccies, and for those (like me who have to work on public holiday - keep your chin up!!!)

Return of the Pink Hair!

Hello there, hope you had a lovely weekend, pity the weather wasn't a bit nicer though. Thank you so much for the comforting comments that you lovely folks left on my last post, regarding a little accident I had....happy to report that I'm feeling loads better, the bruises are nearly away and the palm of my hand is good and scabby(so no high-fives for Lisa at the moment, lol)

Anyway, one of my work friends asked me to make a birthday card for her niece,  and whilst I did struggle at first to find something age appropriate, I thought that this A Random Fan image would be just fine, and I couldn't resist popping of the lid of one of my pink promarkers to do the hair.
The pink gingham paper is a freebie download from Bev Rochester, the dotty paper is from a Me to You stack, the sentiment is my own work using Zipty Do font, the butterfly die is from Marianne Creatables, the ribbon came from my local haberdashery, and the gems from stash.

I would like to enter this into:
nutcrafters - tots or teens
simon says stamp wednesdaychallenge - happy birthday

Ok, I'm off to do the dishes now, bye for now xx

all very clean and simple!

Hi there and thanks for stopping by! How can it be Friday again, where did that week go, hope all is well with you.

I'd took a bit of a stumble in the car park at my work on Tuesday, and have  felt a bit rough all week, one knee is swollen, one is covered in bruises, one of my palms took quite a deep graze and, as it was still a bit weepy today, I went to get it looked at and get a tetanus shot.....so know I have a dead arm too!!!!
I was doing a bit of stamping and colouring last weekend, and I did manage to make one card this week.
This adorable image is "meant to be" from LOTV.....isn't it a sweetie, and just perfect for a CaS card! I have coloured this with the promarkers, the sentiment is a woodware stamp and the pearls are from Meiflower.
