Emboss it........'cos the Cuties have!

Hi there and thank you for popping in here today! Hope you've all enjoyed this bank holiday weekend, here in the UK, its just a shame its been a bit of a damp one as it was the first one in ages that I've not been working.

But anyway, its time for a new challenge with The Cutie Pies, and this time we want to see gorgeous Embossing together with some super cute images.

Our challenge is sponsored by the wonderful
 http://craftysentimentsdesigns.co.uk/

who are sponsoring us for the very first time, and we are delighted to be working with them! Crafty Sentiments are offering a wonderful prize of three digi stamps of the winners choice.....so thank you to them!
As you can see from my own DT card, we were very kindly given some adorable digi's to play with, and I've chosen "Little Friends"....she is such a sweetie. I have coloured her with the promarkers, and added a wee sticky pearl to her bow. For my embossing I have used Divine Swirls from Cuttlebug and also a Cuttlebug sentiment too. The sentiment is framed with a GoKreate die and the flowers are a Marianne die. Button, sticky ribbon and lace from stash.

My lovely DT have made some amazing cards for this challenge, so why not hop over to check them out....and also visit their blogs too!

Rainy Days and Thursdays!

Ok, so I know the song lyric is "Mondays", but today its Thursday and as I type there is a blooming dark grey cloud overhead, and I think I can safely assume that its going to chuck it down very soon! Wasn't it a lovely weekend and start to the week though.

Anyway, due to the large grey cloud, the dogs got just a short run around the block when I came in from work today, and I decided to have a fiddle round at my craft desk instead, and ta-dah....this is what I made:
I was lucky enough to win a challenge recently and my prize was a selection of Bugaboo digi's (love 'em to bits, so one very happy little me!!) and this lovely little lady was one of my choices. I have, of course, used the trusty promarkers to colour. The image is mounted onto a Marianne creatables die, and I have also used Joycraft flower dies too. The papers came from a stack from The works (not sure of the "make"), used sticky ribbon and lace to create the mid-border, the sentiment ticket is my own creation, and finally added mini brads to the flowers and bows.

I would like to enter this into:
catch the bug blog - may bingo challenge middle line down (bugaboo image, starts with an S - spots, and flowers
passion for promarkers - use die cuts (blog annivsersary challenge!)
i love promarkers - anything goes
sweet stamps - anything goes
lexis creations - ribbon and lace

Before I want send biggest to any of you lovely folks that have their children sitting their GCSE's at the moment......Megan is about half way through, so has about 12 more papers to do.....bless her wee heart. She had English Lit - poetry and also Geography today so I'm just waiting on her coming in to hear how they went.

More Fun than Mowing the Lawn!

Hello there....its me, back again! Having decided that I deserved a relaxing afternoon, I left the lawnmower tucked away in the shed and took a bit of colouring out to the garden to do.....when I popped back in to find my blue ink pad to "do" my clouds, I also found myself shuffling around a few papers....and so this card evolved!

This super cute image is from Crafty Sentiments, and is a wee bit of a fave of mine at the moment, she is a little treat to colour and I suspect you may see a little bit more of her in the weeks to come. She is coloured with the trusty promarkers. The pink flowery paper is a Raspberry Road download and the peppermint flowery paper is from a Lucy Cromwell Papermania stack (another fave of mine), buttons, ribbon and lace added from stash.

I would like to enter this card into:
crafty sentiments - flowers
passion for promarkers challenge - no sentiments
pink gem challenge - use your fave colour combo (pink and peppermint)
dis digi designs challenge - use your markers
without words challenge - colours - pink/green (hope the peppermint is green enough!)

Thank you so much for visiting, and for the wonderful and supportive comments you lovely folk leave for me, they always mean such a lot xx

The Cuties get Bling-y!

Hi there, hope you are all keeping well, having been feeling 100% this week hence the reason that I am a wee bit late (5 days actually...oops!) with this post.

This is my own DT card for the current Cutie Pie challenge, and our theme this time is BRING ON THE BLING!
Our challenge is sponsored by the wonderful

and one lucky winner will receive two adorable digi images of their choice!

For my own card I used "Bella with Flowers", coloured with promarkers, with an added blob of stickles to enhance the bling! The paper is from Joycraft and is also glittery too. Gems and sentiments added too.

If you haven't joined in already, there is still loads to time.....hop on over, and also check out the other amazing cards from our super talented DT.

a card with a bear behind!!!

Hi there, hope you've had a lovely weekend and are enjoying the bank holiday! As always, I had to work this morning, and was mightily relieved when 12oclock arrived. So for the rest of the day, I plan to get a bit of washing done, print some images off to colour and have a relaxing afternoon.

Todays card was actually one I made last week, but never got round to blogging. Many of you will recognise the adorable "Bentley" stamp that was free gift, together with the embossing folder that I have also used here, in the May edition of Cardmaking and Papercraft. I cut an aperture in the embossed card....hence the "bear behind", lol! Image and also ribbon coloured with promarkers, added sentiment and wee charm with pearl.

I would like to enter this into:
pink gem challenge - cute and cuddly
di's digi designs - birthdays
simon says stamp/wednesdaychallenge/ - anything goes

thanks for visiting today, take care and I'll catch up with you soon xx
