One for the Squirrel!

Good Morning to you, and thank you so much for visiting me!

So normally at this time of day (6:45am) I would be just arriving at work and sipping on a vanilla latte to try and get into gear....but not today, oh no....'cos its my birthday, woohoo and I'm treating myself to a much deserved day off!

There are four of  us at work, that have birthdays on consecutive days, and the card I am sharing here is for my lovely friend whose birthday falls tomorrow. She is very involved with the Scout movement and her "name" within that is Squirrel, so every year I try and make her a Squirrel themed birthday card (I made a flowery card last year and she was most disappointed!)
Went for a very simple paper piecing here, with an outline drawing printed onto my DP. The papers are Papermania capsule collection: Eau de Nil - this stack was an early birthday pressie from the hubby. I used a Nellie Snellen circular die and a Martha Stewart border punch, finished with ribbon and button.

I would like to enter this into:
crafting from the heart - anything goes
creatalicious challenges - happy birthday
natalie and amy - four legged friends
sweet stampin - paper pieced _ hope this counts as a digi stamp
chocolate, coffee and cards - black, white and one other colour

A small update from my previous post......went to the cinema last night and saw A Fault in their stars.....loved it, such an endearing story and bit of a tearjerker too!!! (Mrs Bearhouse, you must borrow your daughters copy of the book)

Have lovely day....whatever you get up to!

Girls, Girls, Girls

Hello, there and thanks for stopping by to visit my little blog today........so its time for a new Cutie Pie challenge and this time its all about,
Girls, Girls, Girls

Our challenge is sponsored by the wonderful

and one lucky winner will Three adorable digi stamps!
Heather was kind enough to give our DT some adorable images to play with, if you've never tried one...go take a look 'cos they are fab to colour.....and as you can see I have used one on my own DT card. This, or course, is coloured with promarkers. The DP is from Brambly Hedge stack, the sentiment is my own make using a font called "Where the stars shine the brightest". I have used a CheeryLynn border die together with ribbon and buttons to finish.

We would love for you to join in with us, so hop on over to the challenge page and also check out the other amazing DT work.

Off to the cinema this evening, with Megan, to see a film called "A Fault in their stars", I am also reading the book at the mo too, anyone else seen this??? Its a weepie for sure, but looking forward to a night out with the daughter to celebrate my imminent birthday and the end of her GCSE exams......we are leaving the boys at home with the footie!!!

On a Sunny Sunday!

Hello there my lovelies! Hope you've had a great weekend.......its been another gorgeous sunny one here, which led to us having a BBQ on Saturday evening and getting up at silly o'clock this morning to do a boot fair. Happy to report that both went well...but by heck am I weary now. So its off for a shower and bedtime soon, but first I just wanted to share and card I've made for a work friends great niece.

My friend was quite specific about the sentiment she wanted, which I created using Zipty-do font and a bit of wordart...and the card evolved from there.
I have gone a bit Pink Gem-tastic, as the image, the papers and the circular sentiment are from PG and were a magazine freebies a wee while ago. I also added ribbon and buttons from stash and a dollop of stardust stickles to the fairy wings 'cos every fairy needs here stardust! Taking it into work tomorrow, so I hope she likes it.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
a gem of a challenge - suitable for a child/baby
crafty little fairies - spots and stripes
brown sugar - dots and/or stripes
a little bit crafty - childs play

thank you so much for taking the time to visit me today, I really do appreciate it. I will be back tomorrow with a new cutie pie challenge

chuck another sausage on the barbie!!!!

Hello there, and thank you for visiting me today, hope you are well! Its a gloriously sunny day here in Kent, and I could easily have spent some time in the garden......however, I have one of those rare afternoon where it is just me and the dogs in the house, that I opted for a bit of crafting, blogging and singing along to The Killers (fantastic CD).

Todays card is the Fathers Day card that I have made for my kids to give the hubby. I have used "Top Chef" from LOTV (thank you so much to one of my lovely crafting friends for this image xx) He is coloured with promakers.
The red gingham paper is from a Martha Stewart pack and the blue dotty paper is from a Country Companions stack. The sentiments are my own efforts using Zipty-do font, which is a huge fave of mine, finished with wee tags and buttons from stash.

I would like to enter this into these challenges please:
LOTV ideastoinspire - male or sporty
Pink Gem challenge - use gingham
passion for promarkers - one for the boys/men

thanks again for your visit, will stick the kettle on and do a bit more blog browsing now!

Can Dads be Cuties???

Hi there, and thanks for visiting me today! Hope you had a good weekend - what a mixed bag with the weather, heavy rain on Saturday, but what a lovely sunny Sunday!......and here we are at Monday again which means its time for a new challenge with THE CUTIE PIES, and with Fathers Day very soon, our theme this time is A Cute One For Dad!

Our sponsors are

http://www.bugaboostamps.com/
who as well as offering a fab and very generous prize, also gave the Cuties some great images to play with.

I could not resist this cheeky little chappie for my own DT card. He is coloured with promarkers and has a blob of glossy accents on the balloon.
For the embossing I dusted off a cuttlebug folder that had been stashed away for far to long. The blue gingham is from stash.

Once again, my DT have made some outstanding cards for this challenge.....why not hop on over to check them out and join in the challenge too.

What I've got planned for the weekend!

Hello there, my lovely blog buddies, hope this finds you all well. Not a card from me today, I am doing a table top sale with my Mum tomorrow, and |I thought I'd share a few of my "makes" for our table!

Guinness  Gift sets - glass, socks and marshmallows

Wooden hearts - found these plain hearts in The Works - 99p for 4 - and they were fab to decorate. I tend to have  lots of hearts hanging around the house, and this is one of those things that if I don't happen to sell, then I'd be happy to hang onto myself, lol!

Tealight candle set

We've all done these events, and as I'm sure you'll all agree, that you never quite know how these things are going to go, what sort of turnout there will be and will folk want to buy any of my goodies.....well, I can only hope!
