Simply Mousie.....and some views from the weekend!

Hello there, thank you so much for stopping off here today.......hope the week has started well.

I have the rest of this week at work then I have two weeks off from work (woohoo!), if we don't go away during August (and we're not this year) then I try to get a good jump on my Christmas cards....my friends at work always find this a little odd, but to me (and I'm sure you folks too) it makes perfect sense in this as time seems to fly by once you get into the Autumn months!

Went CaS for todays card! For someone who really isn't good with Mices, I do use this Christmas image a lot, lol!

My card features:
  • Mousie image from Sylvia Zet
  • coloured with Promarkers
  • Sentiment is own creation
  • Hobby House pearls
  • ribbon from local drapery store
I would like to enter this into these challenges:

The rest of the post is pretty picture heavy......this is a just a few of the snaps that were taken on our day out at the Olympic park yesterday.......

It was a very wet and soggy stadium that greeted us!

The Arcelormittal Orbital

Cameron got to try these bikes, and has a new found respect for the athletes that would use these as they are quite a weight to operate!

My gorgeous kids!

The Wetlands Walk -  glorious tranquillity amongst the  chaos!

Boys and their Toys!

Hope you've had a good day today, even though the weather has been bleh!!!

I had an absolutely wonderful day out with my kids today, we took the train to visit the Olympic park in East London. The Anniversary games have been going on this weekend and today was Paralympic day. The weather was lousy, first thing, but a little drier come the afternoon, so we walked for hours around the park visiting the various event venues.....oh my giddy aunt, my little legs ache now!!! I will share some of my photos from today in my next post.

Back to my card for now though, and I noticed that the theme this week at Sweet Stampin is Boys and their Toys, which gave me the perfect excuse to dust of this little beaut!

My card features:
  • Hanglar & Stanglar image coloured with Promakers
  • paper from Bo BUnny
  • dome stickers from papermania
  • apologies, can't remember where this sentiment came from
I would like to enter this into:

Off to bed now, for a much needed sleep....catch up with you all tomorrow, night-night xx

I had high hopes for a trip to the beach this weekend, which never panned out, but heigh-ho, I can always hit my craft desk to keep myself entertained.

Aside from doing a bit of DT stuff today, I also made this Clean and Simple creation, I had spotted that the theme for the Allsorts challenge was Butterfly's, and I had just the embellishment in mind!.

The One with the Drum!

Hello there, hope you are having a great week so far! My kids schools break off for the summer holiday this week, Cameron had his first day off today and when I came home from work at 11am he was still sound asleep - oh the joys of teenagers, lol

Its been a crazy, busy couple of weeks here for me with our big stocktake at work, last week. Happily it has been a quieter and more relaxed week so far and its been lovely to have the energy to do a bit of crafting when I've got home from work!

I bought this adorable stamp at the Sincerely Yours show back in May.....and I am ashamed to say that this is the first of the poor wee bear getting as much as a sniff of ink!

This card features:
  • Stamp from Kanban
  • coloured with Promakers
  • Plaid dp from Nitwit
  • Crafts Too embossing folder
  • Papermania Denim Blue Dome stickers
  • Sentiment - Zipty do font

Is it too early for something Festive???

Hello there, hope you are having a great weekend.....and hopefully enjoying some sunshine. I ploughed through a huge pile of ironing this afternoon....but it didn't feel quite such a traumatic experience as I took the ironing board out onto the patio!

My poor wee blog has been feeling a bit neglected as the last few weeks have been super busy - nothing massively exciting, garden renovations, fence painting, shed demolishing, new shed building, trawling around various local dealerships looking for a new car, work, work and work to sum it all up really.

A few weeks ago I celebrated my cough..cough....43rd birthday, my lovely kids ordered me a few stamps and some Nitwit papers from LOTV, one of the stamps is featured below, and my hubby had given me some money to get a new handbag and whilst out looking for said handbag, I had popped into The Works for a quick browse and I found these adorable little paper bags....I got three packs and have been itching to decorate one since!

I thought these bags would be a lovely addition to my table when I do a couple of Christmas fairs later in the year.

This project features
  • James, hanging up the stocking, from LOTV
  • cut with Spellbinders fancy edge oval die
  • coloured with promarkers
  • dotty ribbon, twine and button from The Ribbon Girl
  • green ribbon from local fabric store
  • card candi from The Glitter pot
  • DP was a magazine freebie download, changed colour tone in serif page plus
