A bit of Bingo with The Cuties

Hello, and welcome to you my dear blog chums.......hope you have had a lovely weekend and as  Christmas day draws closer, I hope you are all set and ready for a happy and peaceful festive time.

It is time for the Cutie Pie Challenge and the theme for this challenge is
Cutie Bingo

we are sponsored this time, by our lovely friends at

who not only offer two wonderful digi's for our winner, but also very generously provide the most adorable images for our team to play with.

So this is our bingo board, and I've gone for the middle line
This adorable Pink Gem image is coloured with Promarkers, the papers are a freebie download, which I found here.  Wooden embellishment from The Works, Memory Box Precious Mittens die, ribbons, and acrylic dome sticker from stash.

If you're super organised and have already made your Christmas cards - don't worry, you can make a card for any theme or occasion, so why not hop on over, join in the fun and also check out the other amazing makes from our lovely team.

Being such a busy time of year, I'll maybe not get another post in beforehand....,...so I would like to wish you all a Happy and Peaceful Christmas xx

Not a Promarker to be seen!

Good Morning all, hope all is well with you today, am sending a big hug if this is not the case xx

I am enjoying a few days off work this week....well, when I  say enjoying what I actually mean is running around taking my Mum food shopping, completing a card order for 20 individual cards for an order, then continuing  the pile of Christmas cards I plan to make for my friends and family, Christmas pressie shopping, washing, ironing, dog walking and general housework!

I did decided that before I get stuck into anything else today, that I would do a bit of breakfast blogging, so today's card is one of several I've made with a similar design. I created this "Word Tree", if you will, using serif page plus and the font is "Rochester" (have also added it below, if anyone would like to use this). This gorgeous swirly paper has been in my stash forever, and I've no idea where it came from, the die is Memory Box Fremont Crest, added sticky pearls to finish.

I would like to enter this into:

off to munch my weetabix.......bye for now xx

Merry Christmas from The Crafty Friends

Hello there, hope the weekend has got off to a lovely start. Maybe you're planning on putting up the Christmas decorations this weekend or you're out and about doing some Christmas shopping.......all of a sudden Christmas day doesn't seem that far off now does it!

Christmas
we are very kindly sponsored by

who are offering a wondeful digi stamp prize to our lucky winner, and have also been so generous in providing such adorable images for our DT to play with

For my own card I couldn't resist Chilly the Snowman with his waiting for Santa sign. I have used used Spellbinders fancy oval to cut out this image and have added it to yummy glitter card which I recycled from one of last year's Christmas cards and also a paper scrap. Button and ribbon from stash.

My teamies have also made some wonderful cards, so we'd love for you to hop on over for a visit and maybe even join in with us xx

James, the Snowman and a sketch.....

Hello there my lovely blog chums.........hope you've been having a great weekend, Its been another chilly one hasn't. So much so, that I decided to pretty much hibernate this weekend and get stuck into making some Christmas cards. I have done a little Christmas pressie shopping online already and we have started Christmas food shopping so I decided to take things a little easier.

I do have a few cards to make for family and friends and I do try to keep each one unique, using different colours and embellishments and I did find myself hunting for sketch challenges just to give myself a bit of layout inspiration and I found this weeks Sketch Saturday to be exactly what I wanted.

So for today's card, I have used James and the Snowman from LOTV coloured with promarkers, gorgeous dotty card from Annamarie designs, dovecraft ribbon, sentiment printed onto card which was then embossed with cuttlebug folder - the font is my current fave "Piece by Piece"

I would like to enter this card into:

So its time for a quick cuppa and a blog browse and then I really must get on with some housework - I believe that Disney's The Little Mermaid is on tv this afternoon, so I suspect that will accompany my ironing! Enjoy the rest of your weekend xx

a bit of warm snuggliness!

Hello there, my lovely blog chums.......so how has your week been so far?
Its been another busy week here, but when I got home from work today, I decided to cook myself an Omlette, stick on a Christmas movie and spend the rest of the afternoon working on my Christmas cards - bliss!

Its been a wee while since I used this image and I'd forgotten what a little treat it is to colour, I do wish I could look this cute when I am out walking the dogs in the cold weather. I usually end up with a bright red nose, hair all over the place and I can never find matching gloves and scarf, lol! The image is a From The Heart Digi, and is coloured with promarkers. I found the plaid paper in my scrap box and the pink dotty paper is from Annamarie designs, have also used Doodlebug twine and a random pink button from my stash. together with a cute circular sentiment.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
from the heart stamps- card sketches with a twist-128 (I have gone for the "twist" of fave colours - Pink, Ivory and Beige combo, but the sketch is fab and worth a do too!)
A Gem of a challenge - Inspired by a Christmas song - Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Before I go, for those of you that follow my blog in the USA, can I take this opportunity to wish you
Image result for happy thanksgiving
 sending hugs to all xx

Add a Charm....with Crafty Friends

Hello there my dear friends, I do sense a slight echo when I'm typing, so I do hope that there are still some of you around, lol. I know that many of us seem to be in a bit of "just not enough hours in the day" situation at the moment, and whilst work and family life obviously have to be our priority it is such a shame that our trusty blogs have to sit patiently and wait for us to find time to play.....ho hum!

Anyway, that aside I have to tell you about the latest Crafty Friends challenge, our theme this time is

Add a Charm

Here are details of this challenge's sponsors...

Our first wonderful sponsor is 'Small & Round'
Click (HERE) to be taken to Small & Round's Etsy Store and
for more inspiration, click (HERE) to be taken to the Blog.
One lucky winner will be able to choose 5 digi images from their Etsy Store.

Our next wonderful sponsor is... 'Beccy's Place'

Click (HERE) to be taken to Beccy's web-store
and for more inspiration, click (HERE) to be taken to Beccy's blog.

Our lovely friends at Beccy's place also provided some wonderful images for the DT to play with. I chose Quilt Puddings, which I have coloured with promarkers and stickles. When I chose this images I had planned to use it with a Christmas Pudding charm that I was convinced I had......but after much storage box emptying, do you think I could find it - nope!!!! So I settled for the tree instead, I am happy to report that it still hasn't turned up, as I am inclined to think that may be even more annoying, lol.

We very much hope to see you joining in with us, so hop on over and also check out the other amazing DT cards xx

My Turn to be Pink and Pretty!

Hello there, and thank you so much for visiting me today, its always so lovely to know that you've stopped by and your comments always make me smile!

Hope you had a great weekend. It was another round of University visits for us, as we set of Friday afternoon and stayed overnight in Portsmouth. It had been an awfully long time since I'd been there and was great to see sights that I remember from previous visits and also new sights like the Spinaker tower. We ate in a Pub that overlooked the water and seeing the Isle of Wight ferry going in and out took me back to some incredibly happy childhood holidays....it did make me miss my Dad quite a bit too :(
Anyway, our visit to Portsmouth Uni was a brief one as Megan has a preference for Campus rather than City so we added on a visit to Chichester too, which seems a great Uni.  I really don't envy my poor old soul with the decisions she is going to have to make.

So today is the first day of our new Cutie Pie Inspiration post

you may have seen the challenge post and will know that our theme at the moment is
Pretty in Pink
Our challenge is sponsored by the wonderful

http://www.bunnyzoescrafts.com/
Our lovely friends at Bunny Zoe's
and

Pearls, Gems and Crafty Friends

Hello there, hope your weekend has got off to a good start!

The last few weekends have been a crazy blur as we have been taking Megan all over the place for numerous University open days.......we're off again, to Hertfordshire, tomorrow. I have such a mish-mash of feelings about all this, as part of me is super excited for her to be going out into the world and having this amazing experience but at the same time I feel quite melancholy about letting my baby go! This whole experience is also making me feel a little old too, lol!

Anyway onto other matters and its time for a new challenge with

A bit of a catch up!

Hello there, my very dear and lovely blog friends.....hope you are well.

The last few weeks have flown by in something of a blur, you will see further down the post a couple of piccies that I'd taken along the way,,,,and somehow I've even managed to squeeze in a wee bit of crafty time

I think this image pretty much sums up how I spend a lot of time, lol

  • Ribbon from The Ribbon Girl
  • papers and card candi from stash
  • Martha Stewart border punch
  • Sentiment created by Netty

We recently celebrated our Megan's 18th (she is the gorgeous one in the front with the red hair) this is what I refer to as the "before" picture.......after the drinkies started flowing it would have been a very different picture!
I would also like to add that a few months ago the grassy area behind the gazebo was knee high weeds, the fences were all untreated and where the decking area is stood a 12x10 shed - this is what we got up to during the summer.

The birthday cake that I made for Megan

and finally some cheese scones and peanut butter cookies that I made for our Macmillan Coffee morning/week at work.

I would like to enter my card into:

that's me for today......off to pop the kettle on, and then a bit of blog browsing xx

  • coloured with Promarkers
  • sentiment is own creation, using Century Gothic font
  • small blob of glossy accents on the laptop logo badge thing

Just because......I enjoy a sketch!

Hello there, hope you're having a good day....such a wet, gloomy day here in Kent and I now fear that I may have to decommission my beloved flip-flops until next summer.

The rain, however, has made it perfectly acceptable for me not to go out and cut the grass or take the dogs for anything more than the obligatory run around the park and its been a bit of crafting for me today instead (i'll not mention the pile of ironing....)

After a bit if DT work, I did a bit of blog browsing and landed on todays Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch, and couldn't resist.......this is the results.....I'm doing a lot of blue and beige at the moment, a bit of a favourite, colour combi wise.

My card features:
  • LOTV image
  • coloured with Promarkers
  • Blue dotty card from Annie marie designs
  • beige gingham section from my scrap box
  • sentiment is own creation, fonts are Times New Roman and Great Vibe - corner punch used here
  • ribbon from dovecraft
  • wooden embellies purchased at a craft show, can't remember the name of the supplier which is sooo annoying 'cos I want some more!!!
  • acrylic dome stickers from papermania
I would like to enter:

enjoy the rest of your day.....I'm off to tackle that ironing!
