When the Crafty Friends went Cute!

Hello friends, hope the weekend has started well....I am still a little giddy with excitement, as I was lucky enough to be the winner of the amazing Birthday candy offered by the lovely Pauline - a Tattered Lace Baby Blue!!! I had to click the link several times, to make sure I wasn't imagining it, lol!

Anyhoo, Today it's time for a new
and our theme this time is
Cute
it wouldn't take a great deal of scrolling through my blog, or even knowing that I also run a blog challenge of my own based on all things Cute, to know that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE CUTE, so I have been super excited for a couple of weeks now about this challenge.....and even treated myself to one of our lovely sponsors images, just to mark the occasion.

One Happy Little Guest at I love Promarkers!

A couple of weeks ago, we went for a visit to Hertfordshire as this is one of the locations my daughter is considering for University later in the year, and whilst we stopped off in a Costa, I checked my mobile only to find an email from Ginny at I love Promarkers offering me the opportunity to be their guest DT for April!!!! Well, I nearly knocked over the wee milk jug I had with my pot of tea in excitement and speed at replying. Since I started partaking in blog challenges, *coughs* years ago, this has always been one of my favourites.......and so here is my card......

The theme for this challenge is
Use two colours
and is being sponsored by Dr Digi, who also provided some awesome images for the team to play with.

My card features:
  • Birthday cake, from Dr Digi
  • coloured with Promarkers - my two colours are Oatmeal and Primrose, by the way
  • sentiment is my own, and have used Mathilde' font
  • papers, button, ribbon, lace and pearls from stash
I very much hope you will join in with this challenge and thank the lovely girls at I love Promarkers for inviting me to spend this time with them!

Something different and a little bit special!

Hello, my friends....hope you are having a lovely weekend and have maybe even treated to a little bit of sunshine.

Housework aside, have been having something of a lazy weekend. I took Mum to London on Friday to visit the Ideal Home Show, so a rest was in order after a lot of walking.

Today's card is a commission from a family friend to mark the occasion of  a very special birthday. I don't know about you, but in the years that I have been card making, I have never made a 100th Birthday card.
Today's card features:
  • sentiment created using Rochester font
  • Spellbinders fancy oval die
  • papers from Raspberry Road
  • ribbon and lace from stash
  • flowers from The Flower Girl
  • acrylic dome dots
I would like to enter this into:

thanks again for visiting me today, I have two wee dogs beside me, waiting patiently for a trip to the park, so perhaps I shouldn't keep them waiting too much longer!
