Return of Christmas with the Cuties

Hello my lovely blog chums, I hope that the week has got off to a good start for you.

So Great News.......after our winter break,

I couldn't resist this gorgeous penguin digi. I used ProMarkers to colour. This gorgeous bauble paper is from a stack that I have had for AGES, so long in fact, that I can't even remember where it came from!!! I am an  awful one for doing that thing, whereby you "save" certain, especially gorgeous papers for "something special" .....but sometimes you just have to be a brave little soldier, and allow yourself to use, said paper!!!

Doggy Walks!

Good Morning, my lovely blog chums......I hope you're having a good weekend. Most of our dog walks during the week have consisted of a quick nip round the block, largely due to the weather, but as it was brighter yesterday, we went for a longer stroll to a local park. Harvey befriended a Lurcher, of a similar age to him and watching them play "chase" was a great deal of fun.....Harvey can run pretty fast, but still couldn't catch up with the lurcher.....needless to say, he slept for ages when we got home!

I think the lovely dog walk put me in mind to use this digi, on the card I am sharing today.....

This is one of my favourite Christmas/Winter digi's and is by From The Heart....who are sadly no longer trading, and I  have used ProMarkers to colour.  The main DP is a oldie download from Cuddly Buddly (I think it was a Spring Fairy set), and whilst the colours are not very Wintery, I think the plaid design lends itself well. The sentiment is from LOTV.   I added cute little heart shaped buttons as a finishing touch.

I am a real animal lover so it could have been Cats, Penguins, Giraffes, Lemurs......but ultimately Dogs are my favourite, with their loyalty and devotion, like no other and the furry little head resting on my knee right now, agrees!

Good Morning to you all......hope your week is going well so far.

It was my day off yesterday, and hubby and I went off to the cinema together, to see 1917. I'm not really a fan of war films, but thoroughly enjoyed this, very thought provoking.

The Cutie Pie Challenge

CUTE AND CUDDLY ANIMALS

and as  it's a theme that I love, love, love......I decided to make a second DT card.....So how's this for Cute and Cuddly!

I'm sure we have all been completely saddened by the plight of  our friends in Australia, and what they have had to endure with the bush fires.  It has been so, so awful to see how this has impacted on so many beautiful animals. A few weeks ago, I was moved to tears to see that Lili of the Valley had created this wonderful Koala digi, as a way to raise funds to help......I couldn't, not grab it!!!

It's an absolute treat to colour too, and I can't wait to use it again. I used ProMarkers to colour. I found this paper in my scraps box, and thought it would be a great colour match with the leaves. I used a Memory Box vine die, and I tried to make it look a bit like Eucalyptus! The sentiment is an X cut die, and card was completed with three enamel dots from YNS.

MY DT CARD FEATURES:

• puppy with envelope from Bugaboo

• Faux stitched squares, faux stitched labels and heart dies.

I made this as a Valentine's card for my husband! After all these years we don't really "do" Valentine's, but when we were at the supermarket on Friday afternoon, he did drop a packet of Salmon fillets, in the trolley, saying "Lets have these for dinner tonight, I know you like them" .....which, for my hubby, is quite a romantic thing to do, lol!!! Said Salmon was coated in laughing cow light spready cheese and covered in breadcrumbs then served with green salad and jacket potatoes.....yum!

Anyway, back to my card, which I would like to enter into these challenges:

Gemstones, Pearls and CRAFTY FRIENDS

Good Morning to you all, my lovely blog chums.....we're not really enjoying the best of weather conditions here, in the UK, with Storm Dennis just about heading here, so I hope everyone is keeping safe, warm and dry.

My DT card features:

• Sally Snail, from DRS
• Coloured with ProMarkers
• Both papers where pulled out of my scrap box, I decided Sally needed to be bright and cheerfully coloured, and the papers had to match
• I used squares, fancy label and flower dies with faux stitching
• I used a font called "Champagne and Limousine" for the sentiment
• Finally, and in keeping with the challenge theme......pearls!

Another U Fold

Good Morning my lovely blog chums......I hope all is well with you!

Work and family life seem to have occupied most of my time recently, and I've not had too many opportunities to craft or blog, but with nothing much planned for this weekend I am hoping to get on with DT cards, at least.

I was going to save today's card to use as a DT card, for a future challenge.....but knowing me, I would probably forget by the time it came around, lol!  This is the "other" of the birthday cards that I made for my twin grandsons

I used the cutest little digi from LOTV, which is obviously coloured with ProMarkers. I wanted to do something a bit different with these cards, and I stumbled upon the U FOLD, I found a couple of great tutorials, and really enjoyed trying it...will definitely do it again. I used a combination of papers from Limetree Crafts, together with star die cuts, a balloon and bunting die cuts.
