Buttons, Bows & Markers

Hello there my lovely blog chums.....I hope this finds you well. I do hope that you've been able to finds little pockets of joy in these gloomy days.

I wanted to say Thank you so much for your supportive messages on my last post, regarding my hubby being in hospital. So, his hopes for being discharged on Monday were dashed as he still has an infection that they haven't really got to the source of just yet.  Hopefully he will be home in the next few days, I have at least been able to go in and see he briefly - albeit due to having to learn how to clean and change his Stoma bags.

Anyway,  on a brighter note, I have a card to share for

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE

Our theme is
BUTTONS and/or BOWS

our lovely sponsors are
Who also, very kindly provided some  adorable images for the team....I am using
"Feeding the ducks", which you can find here. I am using Promarkers to colour. This pretty flower paper is from a  My Favourite Things stack. I used a faux stitched square die to create a frame as an alternative to layering. The sentiment features Cinnamon Cake font. The flower die is from Your Next Stamp, buttons and twine from stash.

Hello Jasper!

Hello there my lovely blog chums.......hope this finds you well.

I haven't blogged about this yet, but its been a difficult few weeks here....my hubby was taken poorly with a blockage in his bowel, due to a pre-existing condition  and subsequently had to have emergency surgery.  He now has two Stoma's in place, his recovery has been a little on the slow side as he picked up another infection but he is "getting there", and all being well he should be discharged on Monday....but not before I have to go in to the hospital for my Stoma training!

I  am so, so thankful that I have my blog and my card making hobby to keep my mind occupied at the moment.

Anyway,  I have a card to share with you,.....

I am using the super cute Jasper from Digi Stamp Boutique, he is coloured with Promarkers.  The plaid paper is from My Minds Eye. I used a faux stitched rectangle die, a scalloped border die and a sweet little tag die. The sentiment features Cinnamon Cake font. I added two enamel dots from Doodlebug.  My card is based on the sketch shown in my challenge list.

Getting busy for Izzy

Good Morning to you all my lovely blog chums.....so how are you? As we plod through the horrible time, I do hope that you're able to find some joy in life. For me, being able to take my dogs out for walks in the fresh air  together with time spent at my craft desk are really keeping me going right now. I have been put back on furlough now, which is a relief and will make it easier for me to shield and look after my hubby.

Anyway, I have something a wee bit different to share today.....the younger sister of my daughter's boyfriend turned 18 this weekend.....obviously she wasn't able to celebrate so much but apparently she was delighted with the card and gift that we sent her.

Izzy is a "gamer", so I was so pleased to find the perfect digi from....LOVE CYNTHIA, who I stumbled upon quite by accident.....gorgeous, and adorable images, well worth a browse. The card also features Doodlebug GINGHAM papers and enamel dots. The font used on both is Cinnamon Cake. I had a cotton bag from Hobbycraft, and ordered some iron on transfer paper from Amazon (the pack I ordered came with a silicone sheet which fixes the iron on beautifully) I sewed on buttons for a finishing touch. If I can add one little side note, if you fancy having a go at this......especially if you are using wording - don't forget to flip your work to a mirror image before printing!!!!

My Passion for Markers Debut

Good Morning my lovely blog chums......

So I have some very exciting news today.......just before Christmas I was lucky enough to be offered a Design Team position with the amazing PASSION FOR PROMARKERS Challenge, and I'm here today with my debut card

Our theme is
Favourite Colour Combo
We are sponsored by the wonderful

Click on the badge to visit.

My DT card features an adorable Mother and Baby image from SJL, which I've coloured with Promarkers. I think Blue is such a lovely versatile colour and I think it works so well with a soft pink. The sentiment is my own creation, the soft pink dp came from a stack from The Works, and the blue panel was rescued from my scrapbox. I've added die cut hearts, lace from my local haberdashers and a couple of sweet little buttons to complete.

But, the news doesn't stop there......
there are so many amazing brands of Markers on the market now, that we have decided to open up the challenge, to welcome entries using other types of pen......of course we still love our Promarkers,
but we are now known as
I've you've not been a Promarker user in the past, then you've possibly never joined in with our challenges, so this could be the perfect opportunity........

The Boys Are Back In Town.....and so are the Cuties!

Good Morning my lovely blog chums......hope you've had some kind of enjoyable weekend.

So, great news.....we have the first Cutie Pie Challenge of 2021, kicking off today

Our theme is

THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN

if this needs any explanation , we want to see your cutest little fella's as the star of your cards.
Our lovely sponsors for this challenge are our good friends at
Who also provided seriously cute Digi's for the team to showcase.

This lad and his slingshot is clearly ready for mischief so I thought it would be perfect to feature on the card for our Grandson, Alex. He had the most gorgeous hair colour,  and I hope I've managed to do it justice with my Promarkers. They are about 450 miles away from us and we look forward to the day that we can take another road trip to Scotland and definitely create mischief with the kids!!! My sentiment features Cinnamon Cake font, die cut stars and a wooden number embellishment, which I found in The Works.

We would love you to join in with this challenge....click the link and play along

Sledging Bunnies...

Hello there my lovely blog chums....I hope you are keeping well and staying safe. We are going through such a nasty stage in the pandemic.....it feels like a while ago, you'd know someone,  who knew someone who had covid, now everyone you talk to seems to be able to reel off an extensive list of people with the virus.....Thank God for the vaccinations. I'm hopeful that hubby will be called in soon.

I decided to hibernate in my craft room this afternoon, this is what I got up to.....

I  had treated myself to this adorable sledging bunny digi from LOTV, just before Christmas. Its so sweet and great to colour in. I am using Promarkers, of course. The sentiment tag is also from LOTV too. For layering and the swirly die cut corner I am using Neenah Desert Storm from Crafters Companion. The gorgeous patterned paper is from a My Favorite Things stack, paired with a remnant from my scrapbox.

Anything Goes with Crafty Friends

Hello there my lovely blog chums......I hope I find you well. How was your Christmas and New Years? I think we did our best to make the most of Christmas....we had been put into Tier 4 by this point, but fortunately we've still been able to maintain the support bubble with my Mum, so she was with us , and we were able to meet up with family throughout the day albeit via the laptop.....Thank God for such incredible technology. Have also been working too, as well which has been grim, our manager was tested positive for covid, so I went for an asymptomatic test, which thankfully was negative. I am using up some holiday time at the moment but when I'm back at work I will book in for another test, just to be cautious.

Anyway, I am here to tell you all about our fabulous new

Crafty Friends Challenge

We are now running as a Monthly challenge, so there is plenty of time to play along, and with such an easy theme too...

Our lovely sponsors for this challenge are

They sell a large selection of gorgeous digital stamps and clipart.  For more inspirationtake a look at their Inspiration BlogChallenge Blog and Facebook page.

They also provided some delightful images for the team to work with, and I chose this gorgeous Seahorse from the Lets Make Waves set. Paper pieced at teamed up with Nitwit download papers, and my own sentiment. I added a border, and a generous helping of Wink of Stella.

I wish you all well for the year ahead xx
