Our Four Legged Friends

Hello there my lovely blog chums....hope all is well with you.

So we have a fabulous new challenge, this week, with

The Cutie Pie Challenge

And our theme is

FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS

Our lovely sponsors are
Who have a great prize for our lucky winner.

For my own DT contribution, I decorated a gift bag, which has now been stuffed with Walnut Whip sweets and will be given to my Mother as a wee birthday gift from our dogs. So quite appropriately I am using Winter Westie. The papers were an oldie magazine freebie. I used a pennant die cut and a faux stitched panel die cut. Finishing touches, wooden embellishments from The Works and some red ribbon. The pack of gift bags came from Home Bargains.

We all love using our super cute animal images, so this is always a popular theme....I do hope that you will hop on over and join in with us

Autumn Colours at PASSION FOR MARKERS

Hello there my lovely blog chums......hope all is well with you today.

It's time for a new challenge with PASSION FOR MARKERS and Kitty has set the theme of

AUTUMN COLOURS

Our lovely sponsors are
A bit of a favourite of mine......the online store is so worth a visit!

I made my DT card a few weeks ago, after returning from a weekend visiting my in-laws in West Yorkshire. We'd had a day at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (highly recommend, btw) and I'd spotted a tree, whose leaves had taken a gorgeous pinky sort of hue. I don't tend to think of pink as an autumnal shade, and hadn't planned to use it on this card but I soon changed my mind.

I am using one of the girls from this gorgeous set, and am using Promarkers to colour. The plaid paper is from a Nitwit download set, and the other two papers I salvaged from my off cuts tray. I doubled up on tags, and added a simple sentiment. Also added to the card is a pretty die cut heart.

CHRISTMAS

so whether you've been feeling festive for a while now, or this is the first time you've thought about it, this year.....this is the Challenge for you

I love the way this wee mousie is singing with such gusto, and it is always a joy to colour. I am using Promarkers to colour BTW. I recently purchased a few items from another crafter, including a border embossing folder that I am using here, I think it's from Stampin Up. This lovely backing paper is an oldie, I think from Papermania. This little pennant is from a cute little set, also from LOTV and I've attached it with a tiny brad.

I do hope that you will hop on over and play along.....ooooh, and we have some fabulous DT cards to share too.

Oh Bring Us Some Figgy Pudding!

Hi there my lovely blog chums, hope all is fine and well with you today.  It's been a busier day here, dog sitting whilst my daughter and her partner go to IKEA, and then taking our old doggo to the vets for a bit of a once over, He is 15, and has some bother with arthritis in his back legs, poor wee boy

Anyway,  We have a super fun new challenge,  this week, at

Our theme is

ANYTHING CUTE AND CHRISTMAS

Optional Theme:  "Oh bring us some figgy pudding"  (feature any Christmas related foods/drinks)

However we may celebrate the Festive Season, food and drink is often at the heart of our celebrations. Our optional extra for this challenge is all about those goodies that we always look forward to .
For my own DT card I am using this adorable pre-coloured image from LOTV,  The sentiment is also from LOTV. I am using Nitwit papers.. I have been trying to keep many of my Christmas cards fairly flat, this year, for easy postage.

Think Pink, with The Cuties

Hello there my lovely blog chums.....I do hope that you're having a good week so far. We had a short trip to Yorkshire, last weekend to take the opportunity to visit my S.I.L and her husband. We made a point of going out for dinner on Sunday and having a Roast Turkey Dinner, so I guess for me, Christmas has already started,  lol!

But for now, back to October and our new

CUTIE PIE CHALLENGE

Our theme this time is always poignant at this time of year as we

THINK PINK

Our lovely sponsors are

Who have a fabulous digi stamp prize for our lucky winner

For my own DT card I am using Working hard Winnie, and have used Promarkers to colour. The polka dot paper and the pretty flowery paper are from an older stack that I think I purchased from The Range. The green patterned paper was a magazine freebie. I used a faux stitched square die for matting and layering. I also used a small scalloped edged border die. I think that this super cute image could lend itself to numerous occasions, so I  decided not to add a sentiment at the moment. I can do so as and when.

Whenever we have this theme we always have some amazing entries, so I do hope that you will hop on over and play along with us.

Use More Than One Die, with Crafty Friends

Hello there my lovely blog chums, I hope you've had an enjoyable weekend. We were at a church charity quiz on Saturday, we came third which we were pretty chuffed about. Yesterday we had a lovely walk out with the dogs enjoying the autumn sunshine.

So, we have a fabulous new challenge over at CRAFTY FRIENDS, and our theme for October is......

USE MORE THAN ONE DIE

I love this cute little LOTV digi, which I have coloured with Promarkers. The blue polkadot paper is from Limetree Crafts and the brown patterned paper is a Nitwit download. So as for the all important dies.....to create the two Kraft borders, I used a rectangular die, with a faux stitch, paired it with a scalloped edged die, again with the faux stitching. For a little finishing touch I used a pennant die with a little heart die.

I do hope that you will hop on over and play along with us,

Hello there my lovely blog chums......I hope that this finds you keeping well.

We have a fabulous new challenge at

CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES

Our challenges are always Cute, Christmassy and this year we have optional themes based on Christmas songs and Carol's.....so for the next few weeks we will be singing along to

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus

We want to see your cards and Creations, featuring the man himself.

For my own DT card, I have been using a combination of clip artimages from a set, I'd got from Etsy a while ago. This is from Jo Kavanagh Designs, and I would highly recommend a peep as she has some adorable sets. The snowy background scene is from Digistamp Boutique. To add just a little bit of dimension to the design I added Glossy Accents to the coloured gum drops.

Anyway , I do hope that you will hop on over and play along with us

Birthday Bears with The Cutie Pies

Hello there my lovely blog chums, well, what a few days it has been. Such a sad loss to our country, of our much beloved Queen Elizabeth.

I am here with a new Cutie Pie Challenge, which I will tell you about in a moment. I did wonder if it would be more respectful to postpone this challenge, but on reflection I decided to press on for a couple of reasons. Firstly,  on a personal note, one of my first memories of both her Majesty and partaking in craft activities, was "helping" my mother make my costume for our Silver Jubilee Street Party in 1977( I say helping, but I think there was a little bit of helping myself to the fruit gum sweeties that I was supposed to glue on to my beautiful crown.) Also, I know I'm not alone in feeling an unexpected sadness at this time, but there is always comfort and solace at our craft desks and amongst friends, in fact, I can imagine in times long ago, groups of women would have gathered to console each other, so there we go......

Anyway, our new challenge has the theme of

BIRTHDAY BEARS

Our lovely sponsors are

Due to current printer problems,  I am using a LOTV  rubber stamp for my card, which I die cut, with the balloon out of the box, and coloured with Promarkers. The flower paper is from a very old Docrafts stack and the mini polkadot paper is from Doodlebug. I used the reverse side of the polka dot paper, together with some ribbon to create a panel. I completed the card with a stamped birthday greeting.

Hello there my lovely blog chums.....I hope that you are having a great week so far.

So we have a fabulous new challenge at

PASSION FOR MARKERS

Linda has set the theme of
"A Night On The Town"

Our lovely sponsors are

I am using Party Shoes from Sheepski. If you head home carrying your shoes, because your feet ache so much from dancing the night away, then it's been a good night!!!! I have used Promarkers to colour. I have kept my design quite simple, I am using some lovely,  shimmery pearlescent card with a stamped sentiment.

We might not be tearing up the dance floor, but this challenge should still be lots of fun so I hope that you will hop on over and join us.

Fairies/Fantasy with Crafty Friends

Hello there my lovely blog chums, so I hope September has got itself off to a good start for you. We have been enjoying a few days away in the caravan, staying just outside Eastbourne. We have been spending some time with family who came down from Yorkshire, and have had lovely weather, lots of laughter and a copious amount of pink gin!

We have a fabulous new challenge at

 CRAFTY FRIENDS

And our theme is

Me, being me, I went for Cuteness, rather than ethereal, using this fabulous oldie, which I think, was from Sugar Nellie. I have left a suitable corner to add a sentiment or personalisation later on. She is coloured with Promarkers and I also used Wink of Stella to give her wings a more shimmery look. My paper combo features pink gingham and pink hearts which were a magazine freebie, paired blue tiny polkadot from Doodlebug.
I added a couple of pretty, die cut stars to embellish.

I do hope that you will hop on over and play along with us......

Ribbons and Rubber Stamps

Hello again, my lovely blog chums, I  hope you're enjoying the weekend.  I have been having a huge problem with my laptop - stupid thing doesn't even want to switch on now, grrrrrr! It had been playing up when I was preparing this post, which hasn't appeared to have actually gone live, so I'm trying again on my tablet.

Anyway,  we have a fabulous theme at

 The Cutie Pie Challenge

We want to see your cutest Creations using

RIBBONS AND RUBBER STAMPS

Our lovely sponsors are
Who have a fabulous prize for our lucky winner

I am using a super cute Penny Black Christmas Hedgie stamp, which I have coloured with Promarkers. My stamping ink, if choice is a Catherine Pooler. The sentiment is from LOTV. I created a border with a fancy die and added gingham ribbon. It feels a little odd putting together a Christmas card at the moment, but apparently my Mother has put my name down for a table at her church Autum fair, so I thought I'd better think festive.

Summer Colours with Crafty Friends

Hello there my lovely blog chums.....hope that this finds you well. Doesn't seem possible that we are now in August, how this year is flying by!

And as its the first of the month, its time for a new challenge with

CRAFTY FRIENDS

our theme for August is

SUMMER COLOURS

I chose this flowery colour scheme as my daughter had recently got a dress for a wedding reception in a very similar print. The papers are from a stack from The Range.  This gorgeous owl is from Pink Gem. I added a sentiment tag, a wooden flower embellishment and a couple of enamel dots. After much pestering from my kids I have recently taken the plunge to use Tiktok, and I have seen a couple of videos on there featuring cards with a folded over corner,  so I thought I'd have a bash at it too.

Anyway,  I do hope that you will hop on over and play along,  we have some fabulous inspiration from the team to share too xx

Hello there my lovely blog chums......I do hope that you are keeping well.

Subsequently I am super late with my DT card for the current CUTIE PIE CHALLENGE . However, we are having a quiet weekend away in our little caravan and I have a wee bit of time to hand now.......

So anyway, our July challenge has the theme of

Have yourself a Merry LITTLE Christmas

Hello there my lovely blog chums.....hope this you well. So I am a day or so late in posting this as it really has been an eventful few days! At the weekend I celebrated my 50th birthday, Saturday, had been a fairly quiet day, my daughter and her boyfriend came to visit in the morning and then my Mother came over later in the afternoon and then the three of us just went out for dinner in the evening. On Sunday morning I was wanting to get on and pack for our holiday,  the next day, but hubby was most insistent that we go out to get dog food, then stop off for a Costa - when we did eventually get home I was met with balloons, banners and confetti canons, and all of the family! We shared a fabulous afternoon together with a lovely bbq, a dip in the hot tub, great music to sing a long and dance too, even a water pistol battle which my 3 yr old grandsons found to be an absolute hoot!!!

So now hubby and I are away on a "coast & country" holiday. We are staying in the New Forest, and have some beautiful, scenic and woodland areas around us to walk with the dogs but within a short distance to the East Dorset/Hampshire coast, so that I can get my fix of sea air too.

Anyway, my birthday always serves as a reminder that it is six months to go till Christmas, so a very apt time for our next Christmas with the Cuties challenge

Our optional theme this time is

HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS

We would like you to make a Christmas card for a child

For my own DT card I am using Chilly the Snowman, with stop here sign from Pink Gem. The background paper is an old magazine freebie.i used a scalloped edged border die to frame the image. The sentiment is from a LOTV set.

It's such an easy theme, and now we are half way through the year, why not get crafting and join in with us....here

Add A Tag, with THE CUTIE PIES

Hello there my lovely blog chums......so, I hope that this finds you well. My dogs are off to the groomer this morning for a much needed tidy up, which I'm sure they will feel glad of as the weather seems to be getting warmer this week.

Anyway,  its time for a new challenge with

  THE CUTIE PIES

our theme is

ADD A TAG

We are lucky enough to be sponsored by

and there will be a fabulous digi stamp prize for our lucky winner.

For my own DT card I am using Birthday Teddy,  from Lee's fabulous store.....thus was an absolute treat to colour, and as I'd printed off a few copies, I think it's going to be ons of those digi's that I'll use time after time. I am using Promarkers to colour. The polka dot paper is from a Doodlebug pad, and the stripey paper is my own creation. Now normally,  if I were to add a tag to a card, it would normally be for a sentiment..but..I decided to go in a different direction and instead used my tag for an embellishment, this cute little wooden candle. My mum had brought my several packs of wooden embellishments from The Works, for Christmas which I'd emptied into a tin and each time I root through the tin I find something different!

So we have a nice, easy theme and a fabulous prize on offer so I do hope that you will hop on over and play along with us.

Men and/or Boys, with CRAFTY FRIENDS

Good Morning my lovely blog chums.....so today is actually my day off, and whilst my alarm was switched off, I must have failed to mention this to Harvey as I was woken by him barking at the back door, to be let out at HALF FIVE this morning!!!!! I tried to ignore him for a while but then I was awake and needing the loo, so that was that.....but I was rewarded with glorious sunshine flooding into my back garden so I guess, I can excuse his barking.

Anyway, I now have a cup of tea beside me and the pleasure of telling you all about our new challenge with  CRAFTY FRIENDS

OUR THEME IS

With Father's Day just around the corner, it's a perfect theme, although I did decide to plump for a boy's birthday card as my box is a bit light for these at the moment.

I kept things fairly simple with a super cute digi from Bugaboo, which is coloured with Promarkers. I went large with the sentiment for which I used Cinnamon Cake font. Just to add a little detail I added a die cut fish tail flag and a die cut button.

I do hope that you will hop on over and visit us.....we have some fabulous inspiration from the team to share with you.

Spots, Stripes and Anniversaries, with PASSION FOR MARKERS

Hello there my lovely blog chums.....hope that this week has started well for you. Tuesdays are usually my day off, but my shifts have been changed a little and I've had to go in today....it did feel a bit odd but I guess I'll get used to it and it does give Fridays off instead,  so that's the nice bit!!!

Anyway, enough rambling...its time for a new challenge at

PASSION FOR MARKERS

and it's a very special one as we are celebrating our 13th Anniversary

Our theme is

SPOTS AND/OR STRIPES

We have oodles of fabulous sponsors, so why not click the link and pay us a visit. We also have some amazing cards from all of the design team to share with you.

For my own DT card I am using "Wallpaper Paste" from LOTV, he was an absolute treat to colour and I can't wait to print this out again. I used an Lotv tag and added a Cameron to it,and an eyelet. The Cameron is my son, who I can't believe will be 22 in September!!!. I added a dotty button and twine to embellish. The stripey paper is my own creation......I enjoy playing around with shapes and stuff on Serif, and I basically drew the shape, coloured it, then replicated to create a pattern.....if I get chance at the weekend I will put together a tutorial, it's fun to do and I was delighted with the result.I decided to add a  little curl up to the bottom corner.....I'm sure I'm not the only one with a little bit of wallpaper doing the same thing!!!!

For The Men/Boys with PASSION FOR MARKERS

Hello again,  my lovely blog chums. I hope that this this week has got off to a good start. Hubby and I decided to go out for a little run yesterday and took the dogs, and some sandwiches off to the coast. It was a little breezy, but one of my favourite things is to watch and listen to waves lapping the shore, and any time spent doing this is worth a nip in the air!

Anyway, we have a great new challenge with

PASSION FOR MARKERS

Our theme has been set by Karen and it will be

For The Men/Boys

We are delighted to ge sponsored by

If you are a regular visitor here, you might notice that I am a bit of a LOTV fan. I was super excited to get the opportunity to use

To The Top

On my DT card. I am using the trusty Promarkers to colour. I raided my scrap box for these papers and was chuffed to find this wood effect paper, which I used to die cut the fence. This die is Magnolia  Doohicky "lovely fence". The sentiment is my own creation usually Zipty Doo font, and I do think that in any uphill challenge in life, it is important to pause and reflect on what we has been achieved.

Hello there my lovely blog chums.....I do hope that you are having a great week so far.

Anyway, we have a wonderful new challenge with

For the last few days I have been enjoying the beautiful yellows of Laburnum trees or rape seed fields, the purpley shades of Bluebells and Wisteria even pretty blues of Forget-me-nots, so I'm feeling very excited about this theme.

For my own card, I am using a very sweet image from LOTV called "Thinking of you ". I am using Promarkers to colour. I used a couple of circular dies, layered onto a doily. The sentiment tag is also from LOTV.
