The Teddies Challenge at Christmas with the Cuties

Hello my lovely blog chums.....so I hope you're having a good week so far. So I survived my first shift back at work....but.....somehow I lost track of time, completely forgot that we'd gone back an hour, the previous night, and when I noticed that the time on my office wall clock was nearly 1pm, I filed my paperwork and pushed off home.....an hour early!!!!! Ooops

Anyway.....my daftness aside, we have a fun new challenge at

Christmas With The Cuties

We want to see your Cutest Christmas Teddies

We have TWO lovely sponsors for this challenge:

For my own DT card, I decided to use an oldie, Bobbi  Bear from Digistamp Boutique. I am using Promarkers to colour. I fussy cut Bobbi and attached him to a die cut tag. The circular sentiment is from LOTV. The plaid paper is  a Nitwit download, I paired it up with a snowflake paper, which was a magazine freebie, I changed the colour of both, using Serif.

Gnome for Christmas!

Hello there my lovely blog chums......hope you've had a great week so far. I've spent the last few days with a paintbrush in my hand, walking gingerly up and down my stairs, trying to avoid getting gloss paint on myself.....we were ready to paint the inside of our new porch, this week and somehow the job extended into the front door and up the stairs too! I will be returning to work on Sunday after being furloughed since March, and this wasn't how I wanted to spend the last few days.....but at least its done now.

I do have a card to share with you today, I have based it on a sketch.....with a couple of small tweaks.

Gnomes, seems to be quite the thing this year and this wee fellow from Star Jam Lines is fabulous to work with. He is coloured with Promarkers, and I mounted the image onto a doily. Both papers are Nitwit downloads.  Sentiment is my own creation. Wooden dots added as embellishments.

My card is based on this sketch

Choosing my words very carefully here, but I am assuming that this is a more "mature" Gnome.....its a big, white bushy beard thing!!!!!

Too Cute to Spoooook, part 2

Good Morning to you all, my lovely blog chums....I hope that you've been able to have an enjoyable weekend.  We've been finding Sunday afternoons to be fairly quiet in our local town, so we  went for a mooch around the shops yesterday,  getting a few ideas for Christmas and I've been on the lookout for a few pair of boots....I'm after knee length, and for a chunkier calf.....any suggestions???

Anyway, its A LITTLE EXTRA CUTIE-NESS MONDAY and I'm here with a card, this time, for our current theme with

The Cutie Pie Challenge

Too Cute to Spook

My card is based on the wonderful Elphaba, from the musical Wicked, who isn't so spooky, but you get were I'm going with this!!
Wicked is my daughter, Megan's, favourite musical and I am using a line from the song "Defying Gravity", as I know she finds it motivational.
This, actually quite cute lil' witchy-poo is an old digi from Birdie Brown. I have used Promarkers to colour. The paper is a download which I changed the colour using Serif, to suit. I have mislaid the packaging from the dies for stars with the swirly design, so unfortunately not able to name-check there. Added enamel dots from YNS to complete.

The one with the advent calendar

Hello there my lovely blog chums, I hope you are having a good week. We continue to be going through such unsettled and difficult times, so I hope that you are able to find things each day to make you smile.

Something different from me again today, I am adding this today as I have a challenge in mind, but also because I intend to deliver this to my Grandsons tomorrow, whilst I know that we are still able to visit.
I made the first of these advent calendars very early during lockdown, and that one will be used here. I was quite pleased with how it turned out so I decided make one for Alex and Will. I've since made a further one for my daughter and her boyfriend and have started another for my grandchildren in Scotland. If nothing else,
making these has kept me busy, especially of an evening......there's not that much on TV that I bother with.
I am using a stocking die cut, with felt from Hobbycraft and have hand stitched every single one......they may not look perfect, but hopefully that adds to the charm. I found the wooden numbers on ebay. They each have a wooden peg and are attached to thick twine. The boys don't eat sweeties, so I have used first sized crayons for each day, and got a couple of super cute colouring books to accompany.

I love working with felt, and this has given me something positive to focus on, during difficult days.....also kept my hands busy, thus, out of the cake tin!!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me today......keep well and safe xx

Too Cute to Spook part 1

 Hello my lovely blog chums!

I hope you're having a good week so far. Got started on a bit of Christmas food prep yesterday........pickling spice and  vinegar at one end of the kitchen and peeling onions at the other......I LOVE  pickled onions, and am so looking forward to sitting down on Christmas eve, with a port and lemon and cheese and crackers to accompany these crunchy little beauties!!!!

Anyway, back on topic, and we have a fabulous and fun new challenge with

THE CUTIE PIES

Our theme is

"Too Cute to Spook"

And we can't wait to see your spook-tacular" creations

Our lovely sponsors are

To be completely honest, we don't really do Halloween but, as this seems to be the year for decorating your windows, I decided to make a little something to replace the faded rainbow in the porch window

Very simple little project really, pumpkin created using an oval and a couple of circle die cuts, toadstools created circle cut in half with freehand cut stems. spiders created with scalloped edge dies and googly eyes. Lantern from IKEA. Maybe this will give a little inspiration of something to do with the kids during half term!

I also made a DT card for this challenge, will be back with that next week on our A Little Extra Cutie-ness inspiration post.

Hope you will join in and also check out the other fabulous cards the team have made.

Thank you so much for visiting today xx

Knitting Rita!

Hello there my lovely blog chums, so how's your week been so far? I hope you're able to find things that bring you joy and make you smile.

I  think we would all agree, that having hobbies and pastimes has kept us sane and busy, during this time, so when I spotted that this weeks theme, at Passion for Promarkers, is hobbies/pastimes, I couldn't wait to play along. This digi reminds me so much of my Mum, and every time I colour it I find myself chuckling mischievously!

I am using Knitting Rita, from Pink Gem. I used the png version of the digi and placed it directly on top of the paper, a Nitwit download, using Serif page plus. I am using Promarkers to colour, of course, together with a few necessary blobs of glossy accents. I used a stitched scalloped edge border die and topped it with lace. I added a wee sentiment tag.

See you under the mistletoe.....

Good Morning my lovely blog chums.....hope you've had a great weekend, it was a cold and wet one here, so hibernation, tomato soup and a crusty loaf was the order of the day yesterday. My crafty desk was treated to a much needed tidy......and then, another card for the Christmas box.

Made, with a couple of challenges in mind

I used, the super cute, Penguin with mistletoe from Pink Gem....as pre-coloured images go, these print out beautifully! I teamed us papers that were freebie downloads from "Simply Cards and Papercraft" magazine, and using Serif I tweaked the colour to, more of a cool aqua kind of shade to match the penguin's scarf and hat. The sentiment is a LOTV DIGI. Snowflake dies from Joanna Sheen, topped with card candi.

Precious Little One

Hello there my lovely blog chums.....I do hope that you're having a good weekend. I wish you all a very Happy

WORLD CARD MAKING DAY

Once the rain eased today, I took the dogs for a run, but as soon as I got back it seemed only right that I made at least one card today.

I  made this with a couple of challenges in mind, but will get back to that .....I treated myself to another sweet little LOTV digi this week,  how gorgeous is this sleepy baby. I have used Promarkers to colour, and cut out using a tag die. The plaid paper is a rescue from the scrapbox, and the other section is embossed, joined together with a scalloped edge die. The sentiment is my own creation using, Baby Lexi font. I added a twine bow and button to finish.

Sew Stitchy

Good Morning my lovely blog chums......hope you've had a great week so far, we had a lovely afternoon, yesterday, visiting my step daughter and the twins.....hard to believe that they will be 2yrs at Christmas, they are growing up so quickly. I had a  hilarious babble conversation with Will...I had no idea what he was saying, but he clearly found Nanny Lisa to be highly amusing!!!!

Managed to squeeze some crafting time in too.....

This is Sewing Emma, from Paper Nest Dolls, but was a magazine freebie a while back. I have used Promarkers to colour. The blue dotty card is from Limetree, and the pink plaid is a Nitwit download, both are joined with a very mini strip of ribbon.
Made my own sentiment using Baby Lexi font. Wee wooden scissors, and a couple of hearts used as embellishment.
