Autumn Colours and Crafty Friends!

Good Morning my lovely blog chums.....I hope you have been keeping well. Things have been quiet here as I have been away on my hollibobs. We got home yesterday from a wonderful week in Dorset...and what a wonderful week it was! We couldn't believe how lucky we got with such glorious weather. We were able to get out and about to all sorts of lovely places, such as the Motor Museum at Beaulieu, the Tank museum but some of my favourite points of the week were the walks to the beach with the dogs....we had to follow along a cute little country path, which treated us to beautiful scenic views in all directions. The dogs are not huge fans of the water, but did paddle their paws a little...and definitely enjoyed their ice creams. I will add a couple of holiday snaps in my next post.

I  am actually here today, to tell you about our great new challenge with

The Crafty Friends

Our theme this time, is more what you'd expect to see at this time of year

Very Elf-y

Hello my lovely blog chums.....hope you've had a great week.
Still none the wiser here, about returning to work, but I'm trying to make the most of the time off, before I find myself settling the alarm, for a painfully early start.

I have a fairly, respectable box of Christmas cards now, although I am always keen to add to it....especially with such a gorgeous image!
This is from Fred, she said.....isn't she cute!!! She has put me in mind to watch Elf, and now we are settled into September, its kind of pre-Christmas, so perfectly acceptable to watch it, right!? Anyway, she is coloured with Promarkers. The holly paper came from a Papermania stack. The sentiment is a LOTV digi.

The one with the twinkly tree

Hello there my lovely blog chums......hope you're having a great week, so far. Our children are heading back to school this week, and that certainly applies to my lovely daughter, as today is her first day as a newly qualified teacher. I think, under any circumstances, this would be an apprehensive time but in the current climate there are lots of additional challenges.....we have had to reassure her that she can, absolutely do this!!!!

So I have another Christmas card to share today.....a little reminder about the current Christmas with the Cuties Challenge, where our theme is
BRING ON THE BLING

this little chap is doing a cracking job of dressing the tree, so I also had the Fezziwigs Festive Frolics "Santa's Little Helper" challenge in mind.
This is another adorable digi from LOTV, as is the sentiment.  I have used Promarkers to colour, with the sparkly addition of some stickles glitter glue to add my bling. The dp was a magazine freebie.

One For Cameron

Hello there my lovely blog chums, hope this finds you keeping well.....

I feel that today's card may need a little explanation.....you see, we like a "nickname" in our family.....my kids, and most of their friends refer to me as Mumma G, my daughter, Megan, gets called Megwhan, and when my son, Cameron, was younger, he acquired a nickname within his gang, that we have adopted.....C-dog!!!

I find it almost impossible to believe that my lovely boy will be 20, next week.....he is kind, funny....a bit of a charmer, and I am so proud of him.

I made his birthday card, based on this sketch
I used a Cuddly Buddly download for the paper, with a double layer of die cut pennant. Balloon die cuts, the lettering created using a sizzex alphabet that I've had for ages!

As I've used the sketch,  I would also like to enter the challenge.

I couldn't resist adding a photo of C-dog, himself....this is a favourite photo of mine, I think he looks particularly lovely wearing my fascinator.....

Buttons and Bows

Hello, my lovely blog chums, I am just adding the finishing touches to this post,  whilst settling down with a cup of tea ant "The Repair  Shop" on the telly.....this has become a firm favourite of ours this year.....I have a huge appreciation of the skill, care and workmanship that goes into each project....but I do struggle to get through an episode without becoming a blubbering mess.

I was lucky enough to be a Passion for Promarkers challenge winner, recently, and my prize was a visit to the wonderful online store of Fred, She Said...todays card features one of my chosen images, this is Emma

I am using Promarkers to colour, obvs, the sentiment is a mini stamp from Little Claires. The card stock, I think is called Mushroom and is from Crafters Companion. The pretty paper is a download from Polkdoodles. The border was made using a Nellie Snellen rectangular die, cut in half....to conceal the join I used the top section of a tag die. The flowers are a YNS die, with a collection of buttons from my stash, together with a little twine bow.

Bring On The Bling at CWTC

Hello there my lovely blog chums.....hope you've had a lovely weekend. Still feeling rough from having the wisdom tooth extraction, so we ended up phoning the out of hours service, and was diagnosed with an infection....hopefully now with the antibiotics,  I might actually start to feel a bit human again....

Anyway,  apologies for my whinging.....and onto more exciting news....we have a fabulous new challenge at
CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES

and our theme is
 BRING ON THE BLING
Christmas has got to be the perfect time for lots of glittery, sparkly, blingage.....so I do hope that you will hop on over and join in.

Our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is DRS Designs

Our lucky winner will receive a $20 gift voucher for their wonderful onl

I am using one of the gorgeous images that D.R.S, very kindly gave the team to play with...I loved the wording on each heart, so I based my sentiment around these....who knows what sort of Christmas it will be,  this year, but I'm sure Family,  Love, Friends and Joy, will be at the centre of it all after the year we've had. My "BLING" comes to you by way of glittery enamel dots. The hearts are a Memory Box die cut.

Fairies, Fantasy and Crafty Friends ....

Good Morning to you my lovely blog chums......I very much hope you've had a good week. I had a trip to the dentist and a wisdom tooth extraction on Tuesday, and I've not felt great since....at first I just thought I was feeling sorry for myself but four days on and its still sore and achy......day and night, oh I can be a right miserable cow when I am tired!!!!

Anyway, on a much more cheery note.....we have a fabulous new challenge at Crafty Friends.....
Our theme this time is
FAIRIES AND FANTASY
With a theme like this, what an opportunity to let your imagination go wild! Me, being me, I  went to the Cute end of fairyland.....
I used  Dandelion Clock from Lili of the Valley, coloured with Promarkers and a good splodge of stickles on her wings. The papers are from Papermania, Lucy Cronwell pad (one of those situations where the papers are soooo yummy that you just can't bring yourself to use them,  but after 7 years you have to be brave enough to go for it!) also Papermania Capsule collection. To this section I added a  tiny rikrak and a scalloped edge border. Sentiment on tag, features happy, happy birthday font. I added a pretty die cut heart, and had die cut tiny white flowers, but they just didn't look right on their own.....neither did the buttons, but together, seemed to work fine.

I  do hope that you will hop on over and join us for this challenge.

As you like it favourite colour to pair with Pink
I love to use Pink and Greens together, as there is  so much versatility whether it be more earthy shades, or bright zesty or, as in this case with more of a minty/teal shade of green.
I ❤ Promarkers  #417 atg, optional add a die cut
Simon Says Stamp (Wednesday challenge) oh so cute
Di's Digi's  lots of Squares

Have a lovely weekend, whatever your plans.....take care xx
