Work, Rest or Play with The Cuties part II

Happy Monday to you.....hope you had a great weekend!

So, it's Inspiration day with the current Cutie Pie challenge, and if you hop on over to our "A Little Extra Cutie-ness" post, we have some amazing cards to share with you....and also some very special guests too

our theme for the current challenge is
Work, Rest or Play
if you are at home with your children whilst they are on summer holidays, then I am sure you will be doing all three!!!

we are sponsored by our lovely friends at

who are offering a wonderful prize to our winner
and also, very kindly provided the most adorable images for our team to play with
but not only that....several member of the PG design team also agreed to be our Guest Cuties for this month too....we are delighted to have you with us and thank you for making such amazing cards for this challenge!

My card features:
  • Gaming Andy, from Pink Gem
  • coloured with promarkers
  • also used silver sharpie on hat buckle and sakura white gelly pen to highlight
  • dotty paper from Bo Bunny - nearly at the end of the pad, must get another, it's sooo fab!
  • Spellbinders die
  • sentiment used Piece by Piece font
I have made this card for my son who will be 16 in September....not entirely sure how this can be as it seems like just weeks ago I came home from hospital with this chunky lil' baby, and now he is head and shoulders above me! Very apt image for him as he is X-box mad, has a habit of leaving discarded food lying around, and is followed all over the place by our dog, Daisy!

I would like to enter this into:

Cheerio till next time xx

That Pink Feeling!

Hello there,  thank you for stopping by today!

Just have a couple of days left at work and then its two weeks off for me......woohoo, I really need a rest and a few lay-in's in the morning! Got some work to finish in my Mum's garden and a few odds and ends to do at home but other than that, no major plans so I'll hopefully get a few days out and a bit of crafting time too!

I spotted, in my news feed last week, that the wonderful In The Pink challenge had reached the 100 challenges milestone and was also celebrating a 4th birthday, so I couldn't resist taking part.....Congratulations Pink Peeps xx

Ted the Chef!

Hello there, thank you so much for visiting me today.....hope the week has got off to a decent start.

Last weekend had been spent tidying up and Tilly-proofing my Mum's back garden, which has involved creating a gravel border and patio area, On Sunday morning a leg of the plastic garden chair that Alistair was sat on, just completely gave way and he was left in a heap on the floor with a very sore arm, the upshot of this was that most of the heavy work - dragging around 30 bags of Cotswold stone - had to be done by myself and the kids.....several days later I am still aching in bits I didn't even know I had and am definately feeling old!

So yesterday, I retreated to the peaceful, sanctuary of my craft area to finish a card I'd started several days earlier
Today's card features:

  • Ted the Chef, from Di's digi designs
  • coloured with promarkers
  • used scoring tool on paper trimmer to create faux stitching
  • Kraft and blue paper  from stash
  • wooden heart and ribbon were Sincerely Yours show buys
  • sentiment from LC designs
  • Docraft acrylic dome dots
I would like to enter:

Hello there, and thank you for visiting today......hope the week is going well, can you believe we're in August already! For some reason, I always get a bit of Christmas card mojo this time of the year, so while I'm on a roll, I'm adding to my box and hopefully saving myself some last minute panic later in the year.

This adorable stamp appeared in my Christmas stocking last year, and one of the reason's asked Santa for it was that I though the bedspread would be great fun to paper piece, and I was absolutely right!

  • LOTV stamp
  • coloured with promarkers
  • Nitwit "winter wishes" paper
  • kraft card

"My Favourite Things"....I should say so!

Hello there and thank you for visiting!

Not quite sure what has happened to the weather this week - the Sun certainly hasn't got his "hat on" this week, if fact, as I look out of the window, it looks more like he has taken his hat off and packed it away in readiness for Autumn :(

Thank you for the lovely comments about Tilly, in my last post....I have passed your messages on xx

Anyway, on to today's card, and this is a wee bit special as a pressie arrived for my birthday back in June, in the shape of the adorable "Lucky Dogs" stamp set from My Favorite Things from my lovely, lovely friend Sarah. Have had a bit of play but this is the first card......it is a wonderful set, the dogs are adorable, the little extra's are great, and the sentiments are perfect if, like me, you do enjoy a dog related pun! With so many fab die's to enhance, it seems like "scene" cards are quite the trend at the moment....really enjoyed putting this one together.

Today's card features:

  • Lucky Dog stamp set from MFT
  • coloured with Promarkers
  • papers from stash
  • Magnolia Lovely Fence die
  • Go Kreate Cloud die
