Hello there my lovely blog chums.....Its been a crazy busy week for me, aside from being back at work, we are also having some work done in the garden at home too.  I've barely had two minutes to I am enjoying a few days away and a much needed rest. We had hoped to get up to Yorkshire this weekend to visit family, but concerns about this latest variant led us down to the South Coast instead, and we are having a weekend near Hayling Island.

Anyway, I am here to share a DT card and invite you to play along with us at

If you are making Father's Day cards, this weekend then this will be the challenge for you as our theme is

Our lovely sponsors are

For my own DT card I am using a digi from LITTLE MISS MUFFET,  he is coloured with Promarkers. The dp is an oldie that I rooted out of the scraps box. I cut a label die in half to add a little detail, and used wooden sticky dots to finish. The sentiment is my own creation.

I do hope that you will play along with us.....

Ribbon or Lace, with PASSION for MARKERS

Good Morning my lovely blog chums .....are you having a good week so far? We decided to go out for our dinner last night.....this was after one of those "what are we having for dinner tonight.....I don't know what do you fancy.......uhhmmm,  I don't really know, what was you planning on doing" kinda conversations between hubby and I.....we went to a lovely Marston's pub (The Poppy Fields, Maidstone) and ended up taking our daughter and her boyfriend too. It felt sooo good to be able to do this again, after all we've been through this year.

Anyway, its time for another challenge today, at

Kitty has set the theme of.......RIBBONS AND/OR LACE

Our lovely sponsors are

The Paper Shelter

who have a great prize for our lucky winner of 3 digi stamps....they also provided this gorgeous digi for the team to work with......isn't she lovely, oh, to be that "sassy"! I am using Promarkers to colour, but you are now able to enter the challenge using any markers of your own preference. This swirly design paper was a magazine freebie and I have paired it with a mini dotty paper from Doodlebug. The all important ribbon came from my local haberdashery store. The sentiment is also a magazine freebie, and I thought it would match the image nicely. I added enamel dots,  also from Doodlebug to complete.

We have some stunning DT cards to share, so I do hope that you will hop on over and join us.

Feathers and Fur, at Christmas with the Cuties

Good Morning my lovely blog chums.....I do hope that you've had a lovely weekend, maybe you've been able to get out and about! The rain held off for long enough, yesterday, for me to be able to get the mower out.....and I attacked the back garden, it had been getting so long that poor Nippy, with his little legs, almost disappeared down there, but today I feel all sorts of achey. Much more chilled day, today, methinks!

Anyway,  if you are a super organised type and are already working on your Christmas cards, then we would LOVE you to play along with us at Christmas with the Cuties

Our fabulous new challenge starts today, with the theme of

Simply, we want to see your cutest Christmas cards featuring animals and/or birds

No sponsors this time, we are playing just for fun and the satisfying feeling of having another Christmas card "in the box"

I could not resist these sweet little mousies from LOTV, I am using Promarkers to colour. The dotty paper is from a Doodlebug pad, to which I added a section of self adhesive paper lace trim, a wee tag with a festive sentiment and some sticky pearls.

We have some fantastic cards from the team to check out too, so I hope you will hop on over.

Spots, Stripes and Celebrations.....with PASSION FOR MARKERS

Hello there my lovely blog chums......I hope this finds you keeping well.

Lots going on here, I've been and had my second vaccination - all OK, just another v. sore arm for a couple of days, then hubby and I took my mother and the dogs away for a long weekend break. We hired a caravan just outside Hastings, and despite the weather being a bit rainy, it was a smashing lovely to be away from home.  And today, I'm started back at work....having been on furlough and "leave" to look after Alistair following his surgery in January. It was an odd feeling, being back, I felt like the newbie all over again.....but there was an expectation on me to pretty much get on with things as if I'd never been away. I did feel a wee bit stressed by the time I'd finished my shift but hopefully tomorrow will feel better.

Anyway, we have a fabulous new challenge at

Where we are celebrating a fantastic 12 years of challenges, now, I've only been on the team for a few months, but it is such a wonderful challenge, it really is no surprise that its been running for such a long time. Ooooh, we do have a theme as well, which is

For my DT card, I am using the sweetest, Pure Innocence, image.....I have been a huge fan of Heather Ellis, for ages....these little characters put me in mind of the Dick Bruno "Miffy" books that I loved as a child. I am using Promarkers to colour, the papers are from a Dovecraft stack....I love these yummy colours.

Crafty Friends Sketch Challenge

Hello there my lovely blog chums.....hope you've been having a good week so far, I just wish the weather would warm up a little. Its May and I have just had to put my central heating on!!!

Anyway, we have a fabulous new challenge, that we'd love you to play along with, at

The Crafty Friends Challenge

How about this gorgeous sketch......

Our lovely sponsors are

I am using an absolute beaut from ADU, she is from a set of three called Autum Girls.I have used Promarkers to colour. The gingham paper is from a Doodlebug pad which I am loving at the moment, I love having the double sided papers, and I have used the reverse side to die cut the border as well as making a frame for the image and a wee punched flower. I can't remember where the pretty flowery paper came from, which is a shame because the colours are so yummy. Completed my card with a sentiment tag and a button.

I found it a really versatile sketch to work with, and I hope you will too. We have some fabulous DT cards to share too, so I hope you will hop on over and join us.

Say It With Flowers at PASSION FOR MARKERS

Hello there my lovely blog chums......hope you've had an enjoyable weekend. It is our Grand- daughters 6th birthday this week, and as we have no idea when we will be in a position to get up to Scotland to see the family, we ordered her presents online to be sent directly she is mad about "Sylvanian Families", which was never something Megan took to when she was little so it has kind of passed me by, and I had now idea just how cute and completely adorable all the little characters are!!!! I could have easily ordered twice as many packs but hubby did have to reign me in, and its probably just as well that we aren't taking them up ourselves, as the poor little soul wouldn't get a look in, with Nanny wanting to play, lol!!!!

So its time for the next challenge at

Its Karen's turn to set the theme, and she has chosen

Our lovely sponsors are:
For my DT card, I am using  'friendship" which I have coloured with Promarkers. The pretty flowery paper is a Nitwit download and the tiny dotty paper is from a Doodlebug pad. The flower die used here is from Your Next Stamp. I also die cut a little tag, and added a simple greeting and a button.

If you hit the link above you can join in with us and also check out the other fabulous dt cards

Wednesday, 21 April 2021

Good Morning my lovely blog chums.....I hope that I find you in fine fettle today.

You may remember that my hubby was admitted to hospital, earlier in the year for surgery that left him with two Stoma's......his recovery had been a bit sluggish and he was taken back into hospital a couple of weeks ago, as his kidneys were not functioning properly and his potassium levels were very high. The blood test that diagnosed this problem had gone off to the lab, and the worrying result had triggered an ambulance to be sent to us to whip him straight into hospital, this all happened at about half two in the morning, we were all fast asleep and completely unaware of what was going on but as the ambulance crew could not get a reply at the front door, they called the fire brigade to our house, and were literally moments away from our back door being put through, when Cameron heard voices in the garden, he called me and we tentatively went down to see what on earth was going on.....OK, so it was a huge worry having Alistair taken into hospital in this way, but also a relief that these people in my back garden were not about to "slice and dice" me!!!! Himself has been lots better since he cam back home again, much brighter, his mobility has come along - not quite leaps and bounds, but getting there.

Anyway  its time for a new challenge with

Add a Heart

Elaine has set this challenge and she doesn’t mind what you make as long as you include a heart on your creation somewhere.  It can be as simple as a die cut heart, heart background paper, an image of a heart or including a heart, so definitely lots of scope with this challenge and we cannot wait to see what you make.  Don’t forget you can enter any type of creation it doesn’t have to be a card.  The only rule we have is that you have to use your markers, for example – Promarkers, Copics, Spectrum Noir, Karin Brushmarkers, Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to name just a few.

Our generous sponsor this week is Dies to Die For and they are offering one lucky winner a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store.  There are lots of amazing brands in their store including MFT, Mama Elephant, Colorado Craft Company and Taylored Expressions to name just a few.

For my own DT card I am using James, Country Walk, I am a big James fan, so it would have been just rude not to treat myself to a couple of the more recent digi's. The sentiment is also from LOTV. The pretty lilac paper is from Papermania Capsule collection and I partnered it with a sweet, flowery paper from my off cuts tray.  I used a button for my added heart and used a little twine with this.
