SSW2 #131

Hello my lovely blog chums, hope you're having a great week so far......can you believe we're nearly in March already. Although here in Kent, winter is still very much with us!!!

Anyway, it's time for a new challenge with SSW2
My DT card is based on this lovely sketch, I thoroughly enjoyed using it and I really hope, you will be inspired to join in with us this time.

My DT card features:
  • Daisy from Sugar Nellie (an oldie maybe, but still a favourite of mine!)
  • Coloured with ProMarker pens
  • Sentiment stamp from LOTV
  • Flower die from Your Next Dies
  • Butterfly and Cloud die
  • Flowery paper, I think, was a Papermania oldie
  • Gingham paper from my snippets box
  • Ribbon and pearls from stash
This stamp makes me think of warm, spring sunshine......do hope we start to see this soon, at moment I just want to tuck her t-shirt into her jeans, and get some warm socks and a big coat on, lol
As I was saying, winter is still very much with us in Kent, we have had, by our standards, heavy snow for the past couple of days and this was my back garden at 7am this morning
I ventured out and measured 18cms on our picnic table. I drove to work yesterday morning, as the roads were not too bad when I left home but after about 2hrs of more heavy snow, I bailed out and had a really scary drive home......got to go in today, so planning to wrap up and go on foot.
One of our family REALLY likes the snoww

Hello....and Happy Wednesday!

Hello my lovely blog chums, hope that post finds you well!

This is pretty much me playing catch up today. So you will know that hubby and I went on a little jaunt, to visit his daughter and her family in  Scotland and to meet our new baby grandson. Well, we had a smashing time and fell completely in love this little fellow.
So now, I am very excited and proud to introduce you all to
Alex Ewan Alistair
born 6th February and weighed in at 8lb 3oz

The day after returning home we had to take our Daisy (our Jack Russell X Shih Tzu) to the vet for, what turned out to be quite a big operation. She had to have a unilateral mastectomy. For a little dog, she has quite some stitching there and did need a little extra care and attention over the weekend. She is recovering well though. So before I knew it, Monday had rolled around again, I was back to work and unfortunately not a bit of blogging had happened!!!!

So, I have two DT cards to share today..........

First up, is sweet sketch wednesday
and here is my DT card

I thought, For you Ducky, would be an adorable image to play with and it actually adapted to the sketch really well. Even though I am late with this, there is still time to play along, so I do hope you will join us.

SSW2 #129

Hello my lovely blog chums and Happy February!
Hope this post finds you fine and well, and having a good week so far. Had a trip to the cinema with the hubby, this week, to see "Darkest Hour". Thought Gary Oldman was fantastic as Winston Churchill and the film, itself, was a terrific watch. As a child of the 70's myself, I had no idea how close we actually were to invasion. Anyway, highly recommend the film.

So, great news - its time for a new sketch and challenge with

we have another fab sketch, which we hope will inspire you

who will be offering a great prize to our winner as well as providing some adorable images for the team to play with
I used  "Fly Me To The Moon", with my own twist of giving this little chap a balloon to play with. Image coloured with ProMarker and papers from The Works.

We do hope you will hop on over and join in.....click here
