Good Morning to you all, my lovely blog chums.....I think its fair to say that since my last blog post, the world has completely changed - hasn't it! I hope and pray that you are all keeping safe and well during these difficult times. We received notification this week that Alistair is being regarded as "extremely vulnerable" (due to medical conditions) so he is now isolating at home for at least 3 months, this didn't go down too well at first, but he is getting his head around the idea that this is to shield him. I have also taken the decision to stop working for the time being too. The company I work for are classed as Hardware, so are still trading at the moment. Fortunately, I had accrued some lieu time and I will be using a bit of annual leave too, but beyond that I don't really know how I stand with all this, but I do know that I just don't want to take the risk of bringing something home from work with me. Our daughter has moved herself in with her boyfriend and his family to free up her bed, for me, and whilst I miss her terribly, it has been a massive help. So, like many, many families now, we are spending a lot of time Video Calling each other, I sat for ages the other day just watching my twin grandson's running around their kitchen!! We have even got my Mum doing this too, and have about 3/4 chats with her a day....we decided to watch "Tenable" together next week, so we can shout answers at the TV together! All of this is wonderful, and is getting us through this time BUT you can't hug an I-pad (believe me, I've tried!!) and one thing that I will take from this experience is to not, not ever, take spending time with people, for granted,.....I am an awful one for saying, "Oh, I'm really busy, we'll take Mum shopping next week", or "Its too cold out, I can't be bothered to go out"............ There is an awful lot that we can learn about ourselves and the way we view the World, and for how we live, going forward, for me: I AM GOING TO PUT OFF, PUTTING THINGS OFF!!!
Wow, get me being all profound! Anyway, in the midst of all the madness, I feel so blessed that I am able to escape to my craft desk and loose myself, at least for a little while.
