The Cutie Pies get Pretty In Pink

Hello to you all, so its Monday and that means its time for a new challenge with The Cutie Pies, and who can resist this one as our theme is
Pretty in pink

We are lucky enough to have two lovely sponsors for this challenge
i-heart-sweetstamps

and one lucky winner will receive a $10 gift certificate for Sweet Stamps online store, but not only that,
are kindly offering a wonderful prize of three yummy digi stamps for a randomly chosen winner.

Our lovely friends at Pink Gem gave us some adorable images to play with and I couldn't resist using Little Gem with Rose for my own DT card. The image is coloured with the promarkers. Have used a Marianne creatables die to mount the image onto. The paper is Papermania Lucy Cromwell stack and have printed the sentiment onto this. The pink twine is from The Works and the flower charm and pearls are from Hobby house.

We have some wonderful DT cards to share with you this time and would love for you to take part, so click the link at the top!

I would also like to enter this into these challenges

If I can put the pink to one side for a moment in favour of a bit of blue.........isn't it exciting that we have a new royal baby today, can't wait to hear what they've chosen for his name, I'm thinking James, Cameron thought "Dave" would be a bit nice!!!!!

the sentiment says it all!

Before I go any further, can I just say Thank you to those of you that responded to my previous blog post.....I found all of your responses comforting, and I have made a mental note never to fall out with any of you.....as I could end up getting a good kicking in!!!! Seriously though, I am very blessed to have some amazing blog buddies and you helped me get through a bad week, yesterday was a bit of an emotional one, but its done now.

Soooo, since the sun has been playing hide and seek in Kent this weekend, I decided to settle down at my craft desk - went looking for a sketch first, for mojo purposes - and this is what happened.......
This gorgeous H&S image was one of several that came with a birthday card a wee while ago, and was a little treat to colour! Have used the promarkers, of course. The border punch is from Martha steward, the papers are Lucy Cromwell Papermania (have just about finished my first stack of this and am on the lookout for another!!) The sentiment is from craftwork cards and was part of a candy win (thank you Sue xx) and is layered onto a memory box die. Buttons and ribbon from stash.

So, as I mentioned this card was based on a sketch, and that is this weeks
So this is my entry for this challenge.
I would also like to enter

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and I'll be back tomorrow with a new Cutie Pie challenge, I will also make a more concerted effort to visit your blogs as well, as I know I've been a little quiet on that front over the last week xx

Bit of an unusual post from me today, and I will apologise in advance as I am not my usual happy self.
If you've followed my blog for a while now, you might remember that earlier in the year I was making sample Wedding stationary for my step-daughter and her fiance', after waiting for nearly two months for them to decide what they wanted I made the Wedding and Evening invitations, shortly after this my step-daughter had a conversation with my hubby (her dad) and told him that she didn't want him to give her away as she didn't want to "upset her mum and step dad"!!! As you can image my hubby was devastated about this, not least because he let my step daughter move in with us at 16 to get away from said step father, he taught her to drive, helped her find work, helped her when she wanted to move out and live with a boyfriend and then helped her move back in when it didn't work out and we even let her best friend move in with us too, as she faced becoming homeless. If that wasn't painful for him enough, when he commented that if he wasn't getting to be "involved" with the wedding, did she even want him there at all......the response he got was that he could please himself!!! So we talked together and made the decision that we wouldn't attend the wedding at all.
I decided to continue with making the wedding stationary as I didn't want anyone to be saying that "we'd" not contributed anything to the day. However, every time I mentioned order of services or seating plans, I was fobbed off with excuses, for over three months.  Bearing in mind that the wedding is this Saturday (20th), my step daughter turned up at my house TEN DAYS AGO asking when I would be able to make order of service cards (x 60), reception seating plan and name place settings for 90 guests!!!!! I'd got hold of a large piece of card to do the seating plan so I agreed to do that, but that was about it......I do work 5 days a week as well!
When my stepdaughter emailed me through the guest list, I don't think she realised but this list was attached to another email that her fiancé had sent to the wedding co-ordinator at the reception venue thanking her for helping out at the last minute, as his fiancé's stepmum (aka me) had "become very
unreliable" God only knows how I managed to keep a civil tongue in my head when they came to pick them up last sunday!

I've been dithering around all week as to whether or not to blog these photos, but I reached the decision that its stuff that I've made and despite the circumstances I'm pleased with how they turned out - so there we go.

Seating plan
in more detail, to show the embossing, this was also a feature of the invitations
"wedding box" for guests cards etc.

So, I'm sorry that this is a bit of a downer, I promise that my next post will be a more cheery one xx

Keeping it Simple!

Hello to you all, hope you're keeping well and enjoy this lovely spell of weather, and with today being St Swithens day and with it being so nice - hopefully it will last for a bit longer yet!
Don't want to bore you all with the details right now, but its been a really busy week/weekend, but Saturday night was time to party as, one of my very good friends from work celebrated her silver wedding anniversary with a big party. Quite a few of us from work were invited and had a great time, especially on the dance floor! Anyway, I just wanted to share with you the card I'd made for this occasion...
Try to keep it fairly simple, the silver card is from a box that I got in the Papermill when my local store closed (that was ages ago!!!) The bow from Hobbycraft and the wording is my own effort the font I've used is called Great Vine. I have used Cheery Lynn Celtic heart die as the main focus of the card.

Thanks and hugs for stopping by, catch you soon xx

Just how Cute and Cuddly are the Cutie Pies???

Hello to you all, hope you've had a great weekend, and what a weekend its been.....the weather has been amazing, the British Lions team have done so well, one of our team in the Tour de France got the yellow jersey, and then there was Wimbledon yesterday, Woohoo and congrats to Andy Murray.....all this and a royal baby due any day now!

So once again its time for another challenge with The Cutie Pies, and we've kept it simple this time with our theme of
"Cute and Cuddly"
For my own DT card, I've used this adorable image from Sylvia Zet, which is available as a freebie here  - isn't it gorgeous! This I have coloured with the promarkers. The dies used with this are, circle, scalloped circle and fancy square from Go Kreate. The dies used for the corner detail are MB savannah border, Marianne flower and a little woodware flower punch. The paper is a papermania "oldie" and have added sticky ribbon from my stash together with hobby house pearls.
As well as this challenge, we also have a DT call running, so if you love "cute" on your cards and are interested in joining a fun and friendly team, why not give it a go!
Thank you so much to our lovely sponsor for this challenge

I would also like to enter my card into these challenges:
a gem of a challenge - lots of layers
charisma cardz - add lace
allsorts - favorite things promarkers and pretty papers
one stop craft challenge - anything goes
that craft place - ribbon or lace

...and I think that's about it from me for now, big hugs and thanks for visiting xx

One Happy Little Krafter!

Hello, to you all, hope its been a good week for you all......so it seems we're forecast some good weather here in the UK this weekend, lets hope so!

Something a little different from me today, I have seen quite a few projects popping up all over blogland with a black and kraft feel to them, and its been something I've been keen to try, so when I noticed that this weeks Less is Moore challenge theme is "Sand"....I thought "hmmm" and got started!
The silhouette image is printed straight onto the kraft together with the sentiment (font: Monotype Corsiva), which I had in mind for this weeks Aud Sentiments challenge and have added a few black dewdrops as a finishing touch.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
aud sentiments - two worded sentiments
Less is moore - sand

Before I go, I know I have a few followers from America, so I would like to wish you a Happy 4th July xx
