The Cutest Snowmen in town!

Only Snowmen Allowed!

for my own DT card, what else could I use but the timeless classic, Snowy from Penny Black
he is coloured with promarkers, and has a frosted ice stickles added too. The paper is from Bo Bunny, the rik rak came from my local haberdashery store, the buttons were salvaged from an old pair of Megan's jim-jams and were attached onto a memory box label die.

The challenge is kindly sponsored by

The Birdhouse Bear

Hello, and thank you so much for your visit! Hope you've had a lovely weekend.
Before I go on and tell you about todays card, I wanted to make mention about my brother Richard who, some of you will have read here, has been undergoing treatment for Cancer in his Oesophagus. Anyway, his chemo and radiotherapy both appear to have gone really well and he will be going back into hospital on the 11th for surgery to remove this organ completely and replace it with a "spare" section of his intestine. Although they anticipate he will be in ICU straight after the op, his consultant is confident that he should be home for Christmas. So once again, if I can call upon my lovely friends here for your prayers and positive thoughts, it will mean an awful lot....thank you xx

Right then, back to my little card for today, and way back in the summer I was lucky enough to win a challenge and my prize was digi stamps from Hobby Book, well one of my choices was the adorable Birdhouse Bear....
I have coloured this with promarkers and just a little dollop of frosted lace stickles. The paper is a magazine freebie download that I tweaked the colour tone to suit. The dies are Memory Box Fremont Crest, and the wee holly die too. I coloured the white pearls with a promarker to match. Button and ribbon from stash.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
my time to craft - cute and cuddly Christmas
stampin for the weekend - use some red
natalie and amy - cute and cuddly Christmas

off to bed soon, so that's all for me for tonight, I will be back tomorrow with a new Cutie Pie challenge card!

Hello from me!

Hello, there my lovely blog friends, I hope some of you are still there despite my lack of blog-ness for the last two weeks......I hope you are all fine and well too, and have not been badly affected by the recent weather conditions.
I'm just at the end of a lovely week off from work, have been out Christmas shopping several times so that's all going well, and have spent today making Christmas cards (Yay!) I managed to get one photo of said cards, before the battery in the Camera gave up on me, and is now on charge, so watch this space for a few more of my Chrimbly cards...

For this card I used a donated Hanglar & Stanglar image which was coloured with Promarkers, the snowflake paper is a freebie download from Birds cards, and I cant remember where the sentiment came from. The button, twine and pearls all came from Hobbycraft.

I would like to enter this into these challenges, please...

Before I go, just wanted to give you all an update on our wee house guest.....he opened his little eyes this week!!!!
He is also trying more and more to drag himself around, I'm sure as soon as he gets full strength in his legs there will be no stopping him.....bye for now, thanks and hugs for your visit xx

The Cutie Pies have never been ones to Create a Scene

Well, actually we are 'cos that is the theme this time for todays new Cutie Pie challenge, but more about that in a mo, first of all - how are you and did you have a good weekend? We are a big Dr Who house, so really enjoyed the 50th Anniversary episode on Saturday - soooo good to see David Tennant back!

So anyway, back to the challenge, and like I say, the theme this time is to create a scene/background.
For my own DT card I combined two digi stamps from Bugaboo, and then added the cloudy day background using a template with a blue versamark ink. The images are coloured with Promarkers, and I added Hobbyhouse pearls and a Marianne butterfly die.
We are very lucky to be sponsored on this challenge by:
The Cutie Pie DT have come up with some amazing creations for this challenge, we'd love you to hop on over to our challenge and have a look.

I really don't want to be a bore with too many puppy photo's, but I just wanted to share this one that I took this morning. The little chap is plumping up well, and Daisy is being the dotting mother too.
Thanks and hugs for popping in today, hope to catch up with you soon!

Introducing our new little bundle of cuteness!

Hello there, this is going to be a quick post from me, as I am stupidly tired.......so we'd worked out that our Daisy was due to have her litter around about Friday, well, by teatime yesterday it became very clear that she was in the early stages on labour. The hubby was going to sleep downstairs beside her, and I went off to bed at about 11ish, only to be woken up just over an hour later, by Alistair (very excitedly) telling me that the first puppy had just arrived, so that was me up again! We waited and watched and waited some more expecting to see more arrivals but time went on and nothing was happening - as far as Daisy was concerned she was relaxed and calm and nursing her new pup, but we were getting anxious so eventually phoned an "out of hours" vet service. We were told to take her away from the puppy and walk her around for a bit, as that would get things moving (if there were any more pups to come) or otherwise monitor her closely for distress and other such signs. So, at this point both Daisy and the puppy have got through the day seemingly fine - she has nursed the puppy really well and she seems fine in herself, so we will just have to wait and see. The vet did say that it is feasible for a dog to have one single pup, especially as she is only a little lady herself, they only mated the once and it was right at the end of her season. I will keep you all posted anyway. But for now, I couldn't go off to bed without sharing a picture of Daisy and "Jack" (as in the rhyming slang , on my Jack, 'cos he was on his own!)

A little bit Pickled!

Hello there and thanks for popping in, hope you're having a good weekend, albeit probably a cold and damp one!
Not had an awful lot of time to hang out at my craft desk this weekend, and the "puppy prep" continues, and also though it was about time to get "Pickling" too. My Mother had an Uncle who always did the most amazing Pickled Onions, and its been something that I've wanted to do, in the run up to Christmas, for a few years now but always leave it too late - Well, I'm happy to report that three jars are now safely stored in my shed.....couldn't resist taking a photo of one of them first though!

I did do a bit of colouring one evening, earlier in the week and I did managed to get as far as making one card at least, with one of the images.

Have used the very lovely Milton from Wild Rose Studio, and have coloured him with the old promarkers, and layered the image using Go Kreate Scalloped Circle die. For the embossed sections I have used a Cuttlebug folder, which seems to be a popular one this time of year, the paper is from Bo Bunny. The sentiment is stamped onto a MB label die to which I added the top section of a Sizzix Key die (I would like to say I did this to add creative flair, but in truth it was added to cover up a hole where I had added a brad, but changed my mind, hehehe). The green ribbon and the candi are from my stash, the red gingham ribbon was a bit of a find in Asda - £1 for three metres.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
crafty calendar - all things Christmas
little claires - Christmas
creatalicious challenges - Christmas time
ready-teddy-go - embossing
sparkles christmas challenge - have a beary Christmas
crafty ribbons - anything goes, with ribbon
moving along with the times - furry friends
i love promarkers - red & green

Thanks again for your visit, and especially for your lovely comments too....sending big hugs xx

A little bit of James!

Hello, thanks for visiting me again, I hope you're having a good week so far. We are now just about a week away from the arrival of Daisy's puppies - yikes! The poor wee soul is waddling around and we have her nesting bed all ready to go - watch this space for piccies of the new arrivals!
Anyway, onto my card and I had a lovely surprise recently as, knowing that I am a bit of a James fan, one of my lovely blog friends sent me a couple of images to play with. The little chap and his snowman friend are coloured with Promarkers, I have used one of the doily's that I recently got in Wilkinson's and have used papers that were a magazine freebie. The lace is from a local haberdashery and have layered it onto a section cut with an Xcut scalloped border punch. The tiny bits of holly are actually a Memory Box die, which fair enough does call itself "Mini Holly Leaves", but I think I underestimated just how mini they actually are, so I'm a bit disappointed with this die, but hey-ho! Oh, and the card candi is from my stash.
I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
crafty calendar challenge - all things Christmas
wordplay saturday - Snowman
christmas cards all year round - winter wonderland
sparkles christmas challenge - have a beary Christmas
thanks again for stopping by, hope to catch up with your blog over the weekend xx

A Little Cutie with a big ooops!

Hello there, hope all is well with you. So this is a big ooops for me as I'd meant to blog this card yesterday to coincide with the start of our new Cutie Pie challenge, but for all sorts of reasons I completely forgot to do it!!!! Actually, yesterday was a busy day, I took my Mum to Maidstone after work to do a bit of shopping, as she and my Dad had decided to treat me to a new Die Cutting machine for my Christmas pressie. I have had my much loved "original sizzix" for about 7 years now, and it is still going strong, so I'm sticking with Sizzix and have chosen the new style teal coloured Big Shot.......although it is at my parents house now, and I am practising my best "surprised at Christmas" face!

Anyway, back to the card and as I already said it is time for a new challenge with the Cutie Pies and this time our theme is
 Little Cuties
So its all about cards for babies and very small folks!
We are kindly sponsored this time by
Who gave us some wonderful images to play with, and I chose "Uh-oh" for my DT card.
I have coloured this with the trusty promarkers, and highlighted with a white sakura gelly pen. The Gingham paper is a freebie download from Bev Rochester's wonderful blog and the dotty paper is from Bo Bunny. The circular sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe'. I have added buttons, twine and candi from stash.

We very much hope to see you joining in with this challenge, you can find us here

a brief step away from Cute Christmas-ness

Hello there, hope you are well and having a good weekend. Despite being a wee bit chilly out, its lovely, bright and sunny here in Kent today, so I hope you're enjoying similar weather too.

Had a smashing day yesterday, we did a Craft Fair at the church my parents attend, and it went ever so well. It has been well advertised locally and as such the turnout was better than we've seen in previous years. Completely forgot to take photo's this time (grrr) but basically on our table we had: Cards, Fridge Magnet calenders, Reindeer Food, Snowman Soup, Marshmallow Snowman, mugs with knitted cover, and my Mum had crocheted little pouches to keep a supermarket "bag for life" in. If I am honest, we did keep our prices very low,  you get to know from experience, how much people are willing to spend as such an event, but we did end up making nearly £60, which I am really pleased with. Some of our profits will be donated to a Cancer charity that is connected to the hospital where my brother is being treated, but a fair bit of it too will most likely end up going through the till at Oyster stamps or other such establishments!!!

Anyway, onto my card for today, and I realised I'd made a lot of Cute Christmas cards so far this year, but not so many traditional/elegant so out came the Cuttlebug Christmas tree embossing folder. For the matting and layering I have used a "Cadbury" purple pearlescent card stock which looks gorgeous but doesn't photograph well and added matching pearls which are from Hobby House (Liking Lilac). Own sentiment, made using Allisa font.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
hobby house - Pearls - have used "Liking Lilac" pearls
cas-ual fridays - embossing
simon says stamp/wednesdaychallenge/ - CAS
thanks again for passing by this way today, I'll be back tomorrow with a new cutie pie challenge!

A Christ-mousey one!

Hello, thanks for popping in, hope you are fine and well. Its a cold, damp day here and I've been back to work after 4 days off, so I decided to cheer myself with sometime at my craft desk this afternoon....and this is the result......

Who could resist this super cute little mousey....it is from Sylvia Zet and you can find it as a freebie (woohoooo) here. I have coloured this little bit of cuteness with the promarkers, the papers I've used here are from a magazine freebie download too (another woohoo, methinks), the doily is from Dovecraft Tis the Season range and you get 40 doiles for about £1.50, the ribbon came from my local haberdashery and as there was only about a metre and a half left on the roll the lady charged me just for one metre, I got the snowflake brads at a craft fair ages ago - at a reduced price too! I know we are all pretty much watching the pennies at the moment,  so I think I've done quite well here.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
bunny zoes - ribbon
without words - geting ready for Christmas
the squirrel and the fox - animal antics
a gem of a challenge - Christmas is coming
winter wonderland - white and blue
got to pop out for a while to get Cameron from his youth club, but will catch up with you all when I get back in xx

Its beginning to look at lot like Christmas......

Hello and thank you for stopping by today! Hope you've been having a lovely weekend. Its was a "food shopping" kind of morning, then a "clothes for the colder months" shopping kind of afternoon, so haven't been anywhere near my craft desk today, but will tomorrow. Despite being in my forties now, I am still a child when it comes to watching fireworks and we are very lucky in that our house is at the top of a hill that overlooks where there is a big firework display every year. So we have been out in the back garden, this evening, wrapped up snuggly and warm and with a mug of tea in hand.....and after the display, back indoors in the warm in two seconds flat!
So onto my card, and this was made last weekend, I have used another of the gorgeous Pollycraft Lil Dumplings, this one was available as a freebie for a short while.....isn't he a sweetie! Have used the trusty promarkers to colour this and added glossy accents to the nose and wording. The papers are from a Bo Bunny stack called Summer Fresh....but I thought they had a year round appeal to them (found this pad in Oyster stamps shop for £3.50 - bargin!!)  The candi and button are from stash and the bit that looks like a fish tail is the bottom end of an Xcut star shaped die.
I would like to enter this into these challenges:
abc christmas challenge - V for Vixen ( hope that the Reindeer costume will suffice
simon says stamp - anything goes
pink gem - Christmas is coming
allsorts - Crhistmas cheer

Off to bed soon, but will do some blog visiting in the tomorrow....busy day ahead as we are doing a winter fayre next weekend, so plenty to do!

A "poshed-up" Poppy.

Hello, and thanks ever so much for popping in......is it as wet and miserable, where you are, as it is here today?
No card today, but a project.......

First up, is my Poppy, which I always where with pride, for me its all about showing our gratitude to those that have gone before. My beloved Grandad, who we lost 10 years ago, served in the Royal Air Force and he in his own way was a very creative person, he was amazing with wood and I'm sure, well at least I hope that some of his creative imagination has been passed down to me......he was also fascinated with technology and he would have loved the internet if he'd still been with us.....so, this ones for you Grandad xx

I gave it a coating with glossy accents and red and green glitter, and I am delighted with the results....its sooo sparkly and actually this has made the paper more robust too!

Off to town soon, so will catch up with you all later xx

A Big Purple Tea Cup.....and the pitter patter of tiny paws!!!

Hello and thank you for stopping by today, hope you are well.
As my kids are on their half term break, I am taking the rest of this week and some of next off from work....Yay, I am soooo looking forward to a lay-in tomorrow!
I'll come onto todays card in a mo, but first I have a bit of news to share.......Ok, so you may know that earlier in the year we took in a rescue dog called Daisy, anyway, when the vet checked her over, before she came to live with us, he couldn't determine whether or not she'd been "done"....turns out not because she came into season in September and despite our best efforts to keep them apart, Nippy managed to..... well, I'm sure you know where this is going, and we are now a few weeks away from the arrival of a bundle of west highland/jack Russell/shih Tzu pups. To say I am feeling a little anxious about the arrival and care of these little things, is a bit of an understatement.....(if any of you have had any experience in this and can offer me any tips or advise, please do either here or if you would prefer to email me).......but we will give it our best! I have put my foot down right from the start, that we will not be keeping any of the puppies though as two is quite enough. I will keep you all informed as we get closer and I'm sure there will be photo's aplenty too.

So, back to the card, and this was made for a lovely friend from work. Thought I would  give the paper stash a rest and use an embossing folder that hasn't got out and about much recently.
The image is from Bugaboo, and is coloured with promarkers.
Have used elegant swirls cuttlebug folder, also lacy circles die for the sentiment. The ribbon is from my local haberdashery and pearls from Hobby house.
I would like to enter this into these challenges:
simon says stamp - anything goes
i love promarkers - anything goes
lexis creations - birthday celebrations

thanks again for your visit, hope you''ll come back soon xx

Eyes down for Bingo with The Cutie Pies!

Hello there, and thanks for popping in today, hope you had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the extra hour on Sunday! I always say I could with there being 13 hours in the day, so I was very happy.....had what I would consider a lay-in, got up and did some housework, took the dogs out for a run and  was still home way before lunchtime, which left me with a lovely "crafternoon"....will share with you later in the week, what I got up too!

So, my goodness me, what a day today has been....My house is at the top of a hill and is the end house on a corner, I was woken in the wee small hours by the gusty winds whipping around the house, and was feeling very apprehensive about driving into work, but thankfully got there and back without any problems. There are quite a lot of fence panels and tree's down but I'm sure it could've been much worse. I do hope you are all safe and warm.

So anyway, its Monday and time for a new Cutie Pie challenge and its time for...............

The Pink Hair Project!

Hello there all, hope you're having a lovely week!

If my memory serves me, I don't think I have ever coloured an image with a hair colour other than a shade of brown or a blonde-vanilla but when I spotted that this weeks I love promarkers challenge theme is "Pink Hair" I thought it was time to shuffle out of my comfort zone.........and now I've had a bash, I'm sure I will do this again!
For my card I used "Willow" from Little Musings (sooooo, love her hat, but that's another story) she is coloured with the promarkers. The background paper was a magazine freebie and the pink dotty one is from a me to you stack. The sentiment is my own work, the twine is from Homebase and the pearls are from Hobby house.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
i love promarkers - pink hair
passion for promarkers - things beginning with "P" - pearls and pink

a little bit more tag-tastic!

Hello, to you all....I hope this finds you all fine, well and happy. Don't know if anyone has noticed by lack of bloginess this past week, but I have been doing extra shifts in the evening at work, as we have been putting Christmas stock out it didn't really feel like work, but come the weekend my poor weary and achy bones certainly did feel like they've been working. Had a good rest yesterday but found myself stripping wallpaper in Cameron's bedroom today in preparation for the plasterer coming in this week.
So anyway, and onto my card as this is a kind of  midway reminder, if you like, for the current Cutie Pie "Cute and Tagtastic" challenge
This adorable Hanglar image is coloured with the promarkers, and a wee dotting of  white sakura gelly pen. The gingham paper is a freebie download from Bev Rochester's blog. The tag is cut with a sizzix die, and the snowflake is a Marianne die. Charm from Ewe can craft and the ribbon and candi from stash.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
stampin for the weekend - anything goes
crafty little fairies - Christmas in October
moving along with the times - Christmas Cuties
i love promarkers - snowflakes

So, that's all for now and as I'm back to my normal hours at work from tomorrow, I will endeavour to be a better blogger and try and visit you lovely lot a bit more........sending hugs for now xx

Just how Tag-tastic are the Cutie Pies!

Hope you are all fine, well and keeping warm and dry.....my goodness what a change in the weather! Don't know if its maybe suffering the Autumn blues but my pc has been playing me up this weekend, and running on a major go-slow, so I do apologise if I've not been able to visit as many of you to comment on the gorgeous work I've been seeing in my newsfeed. If that wasn't bad enough somehow I managed to knock something on my mobile phone too and that changed the language settings on blogger......apparently my Arabic is a little below par, cos stuff was there on the screen but I didn't have a blumming clue what was going on - grrrr, technology!!!
Anway, its Monday and time for a new challenge with The Cutie Pies
and our theme this time is
Cute and Tag-tastic
we would love to see the gorgeous Tags you've been making either as an addition to a card or as a Tag itself.
We are sponsored this time by our lovely friends at
and they are offering a fab prize to our winner.

So onto my own DT card and I have used one of Ruth's gorgeous designs - Baxter, isn't he adorable and how cute is wee jogging suit! I have made this card for my own wonderful dad for his birthday in November. The papers are from Summer Driggs "boy oh boy" download. I have die cut my tags using an original sizzix die, which is one of the first I brought - quite a few years ago.
We would love to have you join in with us, so hop on over and also check out the other gorgeous Cutie DT inspiration.

Is James the Official Bear of Christmas??

Hello there, hope you had a lovely weekend. We are One Happy House at the moment (well, Megan and I) following the return of Glee on Friday...woohoo....and the lovely mild weather was a bonus too!

Before I go onto todays card I just wanted to share a little update on my brother, Richard and the treatment he has been having for cancer in his oesophagus....ok, so he has now gone through three and a half weeks of radiotherapy and a weekly session of chemo, and will be meeting with his consultant next week to discuss what happens next and when and whether he would have an operation to remove the tumour. I have been so proud of how bravely he has handled his treatment so far, and the staff that have been caring for him say they wish more patients had his positivity. Thank you so very much to those of you that have been so supportive with you kind words.

Anyway, I've been noticing this year, that if there is Christmas card with a bear on it, nine times out of ten it is the adorable James, so I thought I should dust this little sweetie off too!
The super cute chappie himself is coloured with Promarkers, the Christmas Tree die was a freebie in this months "Simply Cards and Papercraft" - I don't tend to buy a lot of magazines but as soon as I saw this die I couldn't leave Morrisons without it. The paper I used to cut this is a kind of pearlescent kraft from  Payper box. The starry paper I've used here is also a freebie download from the same magazine, although I did tweak the colour in serif to suit the image. Ribbons, pearls and slider from stash.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
crafty catz - anything goes
crafty ribbons - anything goes with ribbon
moving along with the times - anything goes

Thanks and hugs for your visit xx

Walking in a Winter Wonderland!

Hello there, its me again! Finally getting round to a bit of crafting and blogging this week which has been great and very destressificating! (ok, so that's not a real word as such, but i'm sure you'll know what I mean, lol!) Mind you, that was until I was informed by my mother that the craft fair that we usually do at her church and is usually at the beginning of December is actually being held on the 9th November this year....yikes!!! Gotta get cracking on the reindeer food!!!

Another Christmas card today......no big surprise there, and this time I've used a Heather Ellis image.
She is coloured with the promarkers, and an added dotting of Sakura white gel pen on her cheeks. The paper is an oldie from Cuddly Buddly which was in black and white but I changed the colour tone in serif page plus. The sentiment is also an oldie which I think came in a set from two peas in a bucket and is mounted onto a spellbinders lacy circle. Pearls from Meiflower and buttons from local boot fair bargin!.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
I love Promarkers - songs  (walking in a winter wonderland)
pennys challenges - #147 anything goes
simon says stamp - we're going dotty

Just nipping out to pick my boy up from youth club, then I will be back for some browsing.......thanks and hugs for stopping by xx

I just love how chilled out and relaxed she looks....and after the weekend that I had at work, a good long soak in the tub is just the ticket!
Today has been a bit more normal - yay, and I even had some crafting time this afternoon. I had spotted the sketch for this weeks Less is More challenge a few days ago and decided to use it for this card (do hope I haven't veered too far away!)

I have coloured Gilly with the promarkers, added glossy accent to enhance her specs and added some stickles to the bubbles. The paper is an oldie, so cant remember where it was from, the flowers are a Joycraft die and the pearls are from Meiflower.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:

dis digi designs - show off your colouring skills

that's all for me for now, will be back in the next few days with more Christmas cards, but for now thanks and hugs for popping in to see me xx

The results of a bit of me time!

Hello there and thanks for stopping by, hope you've had a great week. Its been a really busy one for me, so this afternoon I decided to swerve the h****work in favour of a but of me time.

When it comes to images for Christmas cards, this Tilda stamp is a firm favourite.
She is coloured with promarkers, and I also coloured the sentiment with the same duck egg blue to match. The border was made with a  Martha Stewart punch, cant remember where this paper came from, but I love the neutral tone and the tiny snowflake in the design. The button, ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

Righty-ho, that's all just for now......have a lovely weekend and I will try and catch up with you all as much as I can xx

'Tis the end of a lovely day!

Hi all, hope you are all fine, well and have had a good day. Have been stupidly busy at work this week prepping for our big stock take at the weekend, but still had a smashing day today.

It is my wonderful daughter, Megan's 16th birthday.....don't know how that can be, it only feels like weeks ago since I came home from hospital with this precious little lady that changed our lives so much!

This is part of the card that I'd made for Cameron to give his big sis - she would've been 3yrs, and that is not a happy face!!!

Spotted this little beauty when I went out to the car this morning, I have a fascination with spiders webs, It amazes me how perfect and precise they always look.........

Also, found that I'd had a bit of a challenge win, woohoo - thank you to the lovely folks at Holly Jolly Christmas challenge.
Off to bed now, will catch up with you all soon xx

Blue Christmas!

Hello there, and thanks for popping in today! I started doing this post last night, but got distracted by watching the "bake-off" and then the midwives on the telly!
Hope the week is going well for you. Had a nice dry day here in Kent, so although I was pleased to get three loads of washing out and dried, come the evening when I dragged the ironing board out I wasn't feeling quite so pleased with myself.
I have another card to share with you today from my Christmas card making sesh last weekend. I recently stumbled upon a file on my pc of some images that we were given by sponsors of one of the DT's that I used to be on and amongst them were images from LOTV, one was the puppy on the card I uploaded a few days ago and the other is on todays card - isn't it fab when you "find" something you'd forgotten you had!
So anyway, I believe this gorgeous image is called "Build a Snowman" and is coloured with the glorious promarkers. I have cut the image out with spellbinders lacy circle die to which I then added baby blue liquid pearls. I still get a little nervous using these, but I think the drops are fairly even and I'd read somewhere that if the drops form peaks you can flick the card from underneath to stop this, and I think they turned out ok. The paper is from Bo Bunny with sentiment printed on and edged with a promarker. The ribbon, button and candi are from the stash.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
i love promarkers - anything goes
holly jolly christmas challenge - non-traditional colours
bunny zoes - something blue
joanna sheen - ribbons
crafty hazelnuts christmas challenge - cut it out
Winter Wonderland - Frosty the snowman

That's about all from me for the moment.......have two daft dogs here waiting for their last trip to the back garden before bedtime, so i'll catch you all later xx

Hi all, hope you've had a great Monday......well, as great as a Monday can be anyway!  Its not all bad though, 'cos its time for a new challenge with
and our theme this time is, A Cute one for the Boys!

My DT card is actually the birthday card that I made for my son's birthday at the beginning of the month.....as you can he has just turned 13  ("lovely") actually most of the time he's not a bad kid, but every now we do have a few strops and huffs!
Anyway, back to the card, and I have used a MilkCoffee digi stamp, which  was coloured with promarkers, kept things pretty much CaS with this card too, and used swiss dots embossing folder and a button to complete.

Our challenge is sponsored by

Hello there all, hope you've been having a lovely weekend, despite the weather turning a bit ropey! After taking the dogs our for a run this morning I've settled in for the day and spread my stash out all over the dining table to carry on with my Christmas cards.
I wanted to share this one with you 'cos I just love the ears on this dog!

The wee doggy is "Christmas Puppy" from LOTV and is coloured with promarkers, went for a CaS layout for this card with border and sentiment created on serif, the font is Tempus Sans. The gingham ribbon is from my stash and the wee bone button was in a bag of goodies that my lovely Mum brought be back from a day out with her womens fellowship group.

on a roll now with the Christmas cards.........

Hello to you, I hope you are all in fine fettle and have had a good Saturday......having got the h****work out of the way this morning, I've had my Mum over for a crafty afternoon. Got a few cards made whilst the hubby was in the kitchen making a lovely chicken curry, so good day so far and now looking forward to X-factor this eve.........sorry, Im not a strictly girl!
This was the first of todays cards that I photographed
So, the image is from Bugaboo, I love these little bonnet girlies, and is coloured with promarkers, I also used a sakura white gel pen to add a touch of faux stitchiness to the image. The paper is Helz Cuppleditch special delivery, I do apologise that I cant remember where I got this sentiment from as I have had it saved on the pc for several years now, the holly is cut with a sizzix die and then embossed with swiss dots, I often used red buttons in the place of the berries but thought I'd added flowers for a wee change. The ribbon, rik-rak and candi from my stash. As its a bit of a cute card, it seems a good excuse to remind you all that the Cutie Pie challenge this time is Cute Christmas!

I've seen some stunning cards whilst just having a quick flick through my newsfeed, so I will try to get some blog visits in when I've done this

I would like to enter this into these challenges:

A bit of a Pearly One!

Before I go too much further, just wanted to say a bit of a Thank You for the comments on my last post.....will show them to my brother when I can, and I have certainly felt moved by your support, so sending big hugs back to you.
Anyway, onto my card, and this is one that a very good friend of mine from work asked me to make for her in-laws after I had made something very similar for her 25th Anniversary.

The main card stock was an Ivory Pearlescent card from Payper box, the wording and frame were printed straight onto the card. The ribbon, the pearls and the ribbon slider are all my own stash.....oh and the heart die is from Cheery Lynn (Celtic Heart).......apparently they were overwhelmed with the card. I know we card makers do what we do, 'cos we love it and find our own peace and joy in what we do, but its always nice when someone else appreciates your work too!

thanks again for stopping by today xx

Can I ask please for your prayers and positive thoughts.......

for my brother who is starting a course of chemo and radiotherapy to treat a cancerous tumour in his Oesophagus. All of his scans and tests so far seem to show that it is just confined to this area and isn't spreading, which is a blessing in itself. At 42 he is just a little older than I am, and when we were kids we had the typical brother/sister relationship.....we used to torment the life out of each other, but now If I could go through this for him - I would, but all I can do is offer support.....so If you could keep Richard in your thoughts and prayers I would be so grateful.

Getting ready for Christmas with The Cutie Pies

Hello, to you all and a very Merry Christmas...hehehe...Im just getting some practise in, as our theme for our new cutie pie challenge is
 "Cute Christmas in September"
Anyway,  I hope you've all had a lovely weekend. Sadly, I trudged back to work this morning......I've had two smashing weeks off so I wasn't impressed when the alarm went off at 6.45am! My good intentions to get some cards made and do a little more blogging, during the second week of my holidays, fell by the wayside a little and the week was spent with a couple of trips to the seaside (Tankerton, nr Whitstable in Kent is a fave of mine), a bit of garden tidying and a whole lotta back to school shopping too. Did manage to make my DT card for this challenge though.......

We are lucky enough to be sponsored by
and one lucky winner will win a £10 gift voucher to spend in their fabulous online store p&p not included

We really hope to see lots of you joining in again with us this time, you can click here to do so, and to also have a peep at the amazing cards our DT have been busy with!
