White Christmas with The Cuties

Good Morning to you all my lovely blog chums.....I do hope that this finds you keeping well and that you've had a good week. Its been a busy couple of days at work, and at home with Christmas preparations....but the big food shop is now done, just a couple of "fresh" bits to pick up later next week, the gift wrapping is nearly done...we even managed to squeeze in a trip to the groomer for the dogs!

Talking of my gorgeous 4 legged boys, when we decided on the theme for the current CUTIE PIE CHALLENGE, there really was only one image to go for....

Our theme is

WHITE CHRISTMAS

Our lovely sponsors for this challenge are our good friends at

who have a great prize for our lucky winner, you can also visit their fabulous store - just click on the badge!

We do hope you will play along with us......

My DT card features the completely adorable, Mac, from Digistamp Boutique (very sadly no more). I used Promarkers to add the elements of colour. A few months ago I had to take my mum to the hospital for an eye clinic, and as I wasn't allowed to accompany her, I went for a mooch around The Weald of Kent Hospice charity shop, where I found a bundle of embossing folders, which I grabbed hoping there would be at least one or two decent ones and at least it was money to a worthy cause....as it turned out there were several absolute beauties, one if which I am using here - I loved the pretty border! I added a snowflake die, centered with a button, die cut mittens, and some gingham ribbon.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas With The Cuties

Good Morning to you all.....my lovely blog chums! I do hope that this finds you keeping well and safe. It has been a worrying few weeks, as my part of Kent has the second highest infection rate in England. Aside from work, I am trying to keep trips out to the absolute minimum. Most people that you speak to now know "someone with or recovering from" the virus, and it has affected numerous of our family friends......its all so horrible, and I do hope and pray that as the vaccine rolls out, things will get better.

Anyway, its going to be a busy Cutie Pie week as we have our usual CUTIE PIE CHALLENGE starting today, together with CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES running a little earlier this month,  so that we can squeeze a challenge in before Christmas. I will be back with my Cutie Pie card later, but I am very excited to invite you to play along with us at Christmas with the Cuties, our theme is

HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS

Anything Christmas Goes, with the option of based in a Christmas carol/song

Our lovely sponsors for this challenge are our good friends at

They also very kindly provided some so, so adorable images for the team to work with, and I could not resist Bella Bear Ice Skating, which you can find here. I used the good old Promarkers to colour. I had positioned this digi beside my own sentiment, which incidentally features Lavendula font. This yummy plaid background is a Nitwit download. A little finishing touch was needed, so I added cute little die cut mittens. In keeping with the theme, my card is based on the joyful Paul McCartney single.

I genuinely believe that this year, our Christmas cards will be more precious to our loved ones, than ever, and I do hope that you are enjoying making them......we'd love you to join  in our little challenge, and you can do so by clicking here

Christmas post.....and some very exciting news

Hello my lovely blog chums......its been a little bit of a quieter time on my little blog, over the last few weeks. Its been a busy time being back at work and getting ready for Christmas at home. I do have a card to share, and also some very exciting news.....I have been lucky enough to be offered a Design Team position with the amazing PASSION FOR PROMARKERS challenge......I have been bursting to tell you all!!! I will officially start in January, and I am already planning my first card....

However,  its a pre coloured image for today's card...this delightful image from LOTV has featured on a number of my cards this Christmas.
I've teamed it with a gorgeous gingham paper from Doodlebug, its a double sided paper and I've used this reverse side on the pennants. I've kept the design nice and simple and flat for postage.

Feature a Creature, at Christmas with the Cuties

Hello there my lovely blog chums.....I hope that you are keeping well. So I guess now we are all waiting in anticipation to see what tiers we will be placed on, once we leave this lockdown next week.....prior to this my region was in Tier 1, but the infection rate has escalated so much that I'm certain we will jump to Tier 3. The neighbouring Borough of Swale is second highest in the country, and the hospital that serves Swale is our local hospital too, so this surely doesn't bode well. This all frustrates me so much, I maintain it has been people's complacency that has caused this. The thing that makes me feel so miserable, is that it is looking unlikely now, that I will be able to have my daughter over to join us in putting the Christmas decorations up.....we've done this together since she was tiny, and when she moved out, she was very insistent that we'd still continue this tradition. This probably seems quite insignificant to other people's troubles, but there we go.

Anyway, on to more cheery things.....we have a fabulous new challenge at CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES

Our theme is

FEATURE A CREATURE

Our lovely sponsors for this challenge are our good friends at

Lee also very kindly provided some delightful Digi's for the team to work with...I couldn't resist this super cute dragon. He is coloured with Promarkers with Wink of Stella on his jingly bell. The snowflake paper is an oldie magazine freebie. I decided to add a die cut pennant to match the spikes on the dragon. The sentiment is a LOTV download, I added enamel dots to complete.

I do hope you will play along with us.....just click the link

Add More Buttons, with The Cuties

Good Morning to you, my lovely blog chums. I hope you had some kind of enjoyable weekend. I had work yesterday morning, but took the dogs out in the afternoon only to get caught in a heavy rain shower.....two soggy, doggy's and one soggy Me!!! Once I'd got home and dried off, we settled on the sofa and made a start on the new series of The Crown, on Netflix.

I'm back today with my Little Extra Cutie-ness inspiration card. Just to remind you, our current theme is

Add a Button(s)

For my card, I used a very, very sweet little LOTV digi, which is coloured with Promarkers. I used faux stitched circle dies to create my easel card, and added a mini doily to frame. The papers are Nitwit downloads. I added the all important buttons, and finally used wink of stella to create a kind of gummed look on the envelope.

Fancy playing along? You can join us here, we'd love to see you.

The Holly and the.......carolling dog!

Hello there my lovely blog chums.....I hope that you've had a good week. Its been a suprisingly busy one here. When Megan moved out, earlier this year, we asked Cameron if he wanted to move into her old room as it is larger, but at the time he couldn'tbe bothered.....until this week, so Wednesday was spent moving furniture about and getting settled into my new (smaller) craft room.

Now that I'm all unpacked, I made another card for the Christmas box.....I'm going to have to get organised very soon, with my card list.

I used one of my favourite little images from LOTV....who wouldn't love a Carol singing dog, he is coloured with Promarkers. The dp, was an old magazine freebie, I die cut a square with a faux stitched die, and then cut out a circle, which I topped with a Spellbinders fancy circle die. The finishing touch was a Holly embellishment which is my own little make using air dry clay, a cake decorating tool, Promarkers, again to colour, Mod Podge to glaze and finally flat back pearls.

Add A Button(s) with The Cuties

Hello there my lovely blog chums, I hope you had some kind of enjoyable weekend. It  was the hubby's birthday yesterday, and, in spite of the current restrictions, I think he had a good day......we have a small family-run pub not far from us that has been doing food deliveries and they do the most amazing Sunday roast.....so we treated ourselves to dinner out....in!!!

Anyway,  we have a fabulous new Cutie Pie Challenge kicking off today......our theme is

ADD A BUTTON(S)

a perfect theme for me......I do love a Button and I have actually been known to by a pair of pyjamas because I knew, in the fullness of time and wear, that I would be able to re-use the buttons!!!

I am using Promarkers to colour, as always. These yummy papers are Nitwit downloads. The sentiment is my own creation. I have added my, all important, buttons as centre pieces for die cut flowers.

Cosy Christmas Bear#

Hello, My lovely blog chums. I do hope that this finds you well.

So what a week this has been, we had a busy few days at the beginning of the week, getting a few things done before Thursdays lockdown, fortunately we even squeezed in an afternoon with my Grandsons. Then its been back at work yesterday and today, I know I should feel fortunate that I had a job to go back to,  but I must admit that I'm not really enjoying it at the moment. I feel anxious about being in much closer contact with members of the public, but hopefully in time I'll settle back in.

I decided to spend my afternoon working on a couple more Christmas cards for my box...

I had treated myself to Cosy Christmas Bear from LOTV, and decided to use it on a clean, simple design, adding my own sentiment. I added an embossed panel with a Holly die cut, I used doodlebug enamel dots for the berries.

The Teddies Challenge at Christmas with the Cuties

Hello my lovely blog chums.....so I hope you're having a good week so far. So I survived my first shift back at work....but.....somehow I lost track of time, completely forgot that we'd gone back an hour, the previous night, and when I noticed that the time on my office wall clock was nearly 1pm, I filed my paperwork and pushed off home.....an hour early!!!!! Ooops

Anyway.....my daftness aside, we have a fun new challenge at

Christmas With The Cuties

We want to see your Cutest Christmas Teddies

For my own DT card, I decided to use an oldie, Bobbi  Bear from Digistamp Boutique. I am using Promarkers to colour. I fussy cut Bobbi and attached him to a die cut tag. The circular sentiment is from LOTV. The plaid paper is  a Nitwit download, I paired it up with a snowflake paper, which was a magazine freebie, I changed the colour of both, using Serif.

Gnome for Christmas!

Hello there my lovely blog chums......hope you've had a great week so far. I've spent the last few days with a paintbrush in my hand, walking gingerly up and down my stairs, trying to avoid getting gloss paint on myself.....we were ready to paint the inside of our new porch, this week and somehow the job extended into the front door and up the stairs too! I will be returning to work on Sunday after being furloughed since March, and this wasn't how I wanted to spend the last few days.....but at least its done now.

I do have a card to share with you today, I have based it on a sketch.....with a couple of small tweaks.

Gnomes, seems to be quite the thing this year and this wee fellow from Star Jam Lines is fabulous to work with. He is coloured with Promarkers, and I mounted the image onto a doily. Both papers are Nitwit downloads.  Sentiment is my own creation. Wooden dots added as embellishments.

My card is based on this sketch

Too Cute to Spoooook, part 2

Good Morning to you all, my lovely blog chums....I hope that you've been able to have an enjoyable weekend.  We've been finding Sunday afternoons to be fairly quiet in our local town, so we  went for a mooch around the shops yesterday,  getting a few ideas for Christmas and I've been on the lookout for a few pair of boots....I'm after knee length, and for a chunkier calf.....any suggestions???

Anyway, its A LITTLE EXTRA CUTIE-NESS MONDAY and I'm here with a card, this time, for our current theme with

The Cutie Pie Challenge

Too Cute to Spook

My card is based on the wonderful Elphaba, from the musical Wicked, who isn't so spooky, but you get were I'm going with this!!
Wicked is my daughter, Megan's, favourite musical and I am using a line from the song "Defying Gravity", as I know she finds it motivational.
This, actually quite cute lil' witchy-poo is an old digi from Birdie Brown. I have used Promarkers to colour. The paper is a download which I changed the colour using Serif, to suit. I have mislaid the packaging from the dies for stars with the swirly design, so unfortunately not able to name-check there. Added enamel dots from YNS to complete.

The one with the advent calendar

Hello there my lovely blog chums, I hope you are having a good week. We continue to be going through such unsettled and difficult times, so I hope that you are able to find things each day to make you smile.

Something different from me again today, I am adding this today as I have a challenge in mind, but also because I intend to deliver this to my Grandsons tomorrow, whilst I know that we are still able to visit.
I made the first of these advent calendars very early during lockdown, and that one will be used here. I was quite pleased with how it turned out so I decided make one for Alex and Will. I've since made a further one for my daughter and her boyfriend and have started another for my grandchildren in Scotland. If nothing else,
making these has kept me busy, especially of an evening......there's not that much on TV that I bother with.
I am using a stocking die cut, with felt from Hobbycraft and have hand stitched every single one......they may not look perfect, but hopefully that adds to the charm. I found the wooden numbers on ebay. They each have a wooden peg and are attached to thick twine. The boys don't eat sweeties, so I have used first sized crayons for each day, and got a couple of super cute colouring books to accompany.

I love working with felt, and this has given me something positive to focus on, during difficult days.....also kept my hands busy, thus, out of the cake tin!!!

Too Cute to Spook part 1

 Hello my lovely blog chums!

I hope you're having a good week so far. Got started on a bit of Christmas food prep yesterday........pickling spice and  vinegar at one end of the kitchen and peeling onions at the other......I LOVE  pickled onions, and am so looking forward to sitting down on Christmas eve, with a port and lemon and cheese and crackers to accompany these crunchy little beauties!!!!

Anyway, back on topic, and we have a fabulous and fun new challenge with

THE CUTIE PIES

Our theme is

"Too Cute to Spook"

And we can't wait to see your spook-tacular" creations

Our lovely sponsors are

To be completely honest, we don't really do Halloween but, as this seems to be the year for decorating your windows, I decided to make a little something to replace the faded rainbow in the porch window

Very simple little project really, pumpkin created using an oval and a couple of circle die cuts, toadstools created circle cut in half with freehand cut stems. spiders created with scalloped edge dies and googly eyes. Lantern from IKEA. Maybe this will give a little inspiration of something to do with the kids during half term!

I also made a DT card for this challenge, will be back with that next week on our A Little Extra Cutie-ness inspiration post.

Hope you will join in and also check out the other fabulous cards the team have made.

Thank you so much for visiting today xx

Knitting Rita!

Hello there my lovely blog chums, so how's your week been so far? I hope you're able to find things that bring you joy and make you smile.

I  think we would all agree, that having hobbies and pastimes has kept us sane and busy, during this time, so when I spotted that this weeks theme, at Passion for Promarkers, is hobbies/pastimes, I couldn't wait to play along. This digi reminds me so much of my Mum, and every time I colour it I find myself chuckling mischievously!

I am using Knitting Rita, from Pink Gem. I used the png version of the digi and placed it directly on top of the paper, a Nitwit download, using Serif page plus. I am using Promarkers to colour, of course, together with a few necessary blobs of glossy accents. I used a stitched scalloped edge border die and topped it with lace. I added a wee sentiment tag.

See you under the mistletoe.....

Good Morning my lovely blog chums.....hope you've had a great weekend, it was a cold and wet one here, so hibernation, tomato soup and a crusty loaf was the order of the day yesterday. My crafty desk was treated to a much needed tidy......and then, another card for the Christmas box.

Made, with a couple of challenges in mind

I used, the super cute, Penguin with mistletoe from Pink Gem....as pre-coloured images go, these print out beautifully! I teamed us papers that were freebie downloads from "Simply Cards and Papercraft" magazine, and using Serif I tweaked the colour to, more of a cool aqua kind of shade to match the penguin's scarf and hat. The sentiment is a LOTV DIGI. Snowflake dies from Joanna Sheen, topped with card candi.

I  made this with a couple of challenges in mind, but will get back to that .....I treated myself to another sweet little LOTV digi this week,  how gorgeous is this sleepy baby. I have used Promarkers to colour, and cut out using a tag die. The plaid paper is a rescue from the scrapbox, and the other section is embossed, joined together with a scalloped edge die.  Good Morning my lovely blog chums......hope you've had a great week so far, we had a lovely afternoon, yesterday, visiting my step daughter and the twins.....hard to believe that they will be 2yrs at Christmas, they are growing up so quickly. Managed to squeeze some crafting time in too.....

This is Sewing Emma, from Paper Nest Dolls, but was a magazine freebie a while back. I have used Promarkers to colour. The blue dotty card is from Limetree, and the pink plaid is a Nitwit download, both are joined with a very mini strip of ribbon.
