Love, Marriage and an update on my hubby!

Hi there, hope you've had a lovely weekend, this is just a really quick post to let you know that it's time for a new challenge with the The Cutie Pies, our theme this time is all about LOVE & MARRIAGE, we would love to have you joining us for this, so click the link and check out the other amazing DT cards and details of our fabby prize.

Kept it fairly simple for my own effort, using a super cute image from Birdie Brown.

Apologies for the short post here, but as you can imagine my blogging time is somewhat limited at the moment......anyway, my hubby went in on Monday for his op, he was terrified so it was quite an emotional morning (and just to add to my stress our flipping car broke down as I was driving home from the hospital, but that's a whole other story) but the op itself went well despite a couple of blips (it took two hours just to cut him open due to previous scar tissue and adhesions) and he had a major bleed too, but hubby had continued to make steady progress in his recovery,  and over the week moved from ICU down to high dependancy ward and then on Friday to a regular ward. They've had him up and walking about and most of his wound is drying well, the lower areas have been oozing, so they've been using various dressings and equipment to help it along. I've been a bit concerned since he moved to the ward as it is extremely warm and stuffy and he seems to be feeling more hot and bothered, when I was in last night his temperature was raised so they were going to take some bloods to check for infection, but to me he just looks dehydrated.....apparently he lost 11 litres of fluid during the op, and although he's had a couple of blood transfusions and had fluid on an IV drip for a couple of days I think maybe that's what he needs, anyway, I'll be back there this afternoon and hopefully he'll be a bit brighter.

You and your husband are going through so much, I really hope and pray that it will all be over for you both very soon and that he makes a speedy and full recovery! Don't forget to take a little time out for yourself ... you need to be fit and well to help him through it all, and you owe it to yourself as well. Hugs, Karen xx
