Sparkle!

Hello, my lovely blog chums.....so, how are we?
I hope that this finds you well, and keeping your chin up.

I had just about finished, making today's card, when my Mum asked me to make a birthday card for Erin, my step-grand-daughter....I thought this would be just right!
This super cute lil' Ballerina Bunny is a Wild Rose Studio stamp, she is coloured with promarkers. The sentiment is my own creation, the pink dotty card is from Limetree crafts, and the white, glittery card was recycled from a Christmas card

I would like to enter these challenges:
thank you so much for visiting me today, I hope you will have something enjoyable to do today, as it's Thursday I am looking forward to going out at 8pm to show appreciation to all of our frontline and essential workers.
Stay safe, sending huge hugs to you all

Christmas with the Cuties, Red and Green

Good Morning to you my lovely blog chums.....Once again, I will welcome you with a hope that this finds you well and coping with life at the moment. On a Monday morning, I'd normally be off to work at 7:00am, not sitting in my pyjama's watching "Killing Eve", but there we go....I hope that you are finding comfort and sanity at your craft desks, we have a fun new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties, if you are looking for something to do, today......

We have a nice, easy theme for this challenge
RED & GREEN
Our lovely sponsors for this challenge are our good friends at

who have a great prize for our lucky winner, you can also visit their fabulous store - just click on the badge!

I did just that, and stumbled upon this little sweetie "Lil' Dimples, Snow Day"....I thought her wee snowsuit was adorable! I used Promarkers to colour. The sentiment is my own little creation using Cinammon Cake font, which is proving to be a bit of a favourite at the moment. This lovely paper came from a pad that was a bargain from The Works, I don't normally buy 12x12 papers but for a great price and a good selection of red and teal scandi-type designs, I couldn't not!

Anyway, we do hope that you will hop on over to join in with us.......just click HERE

More B's with the Cuties

Good Morning my lovely blog chums......on a glorious sunny, Sunday morning!

I am here today with the second of my two DT cards for
just to remind you, our theme is

BUNNIES, BEARS AND OTHER B's

so, in other words.....stuff beginning with B!
Bunny with a background, with Blue, Brown and Beige and a Blooming Lovely sentiment
This super cute Bunny was a magazine freebie, that I've had for ages, and can't begin to remember the name...such a sweetie though, and after several weeks in lockdown I am having similar issues with my t-shirts not quite fitting properly now either, lol (blame it on the baking!!!) Although I have had this stamp for ages, I hadn't used it a lot because I always got quite a smugdy print....however, I recently purchased a Catherine Pooler ink pad, and for whatever reason I am now getting a must crisper, cleaner print....so, Yay! Anyway, I coloured the stamp with my trusty promarkers. Background created with a couple of off-cuts, I used a fluffy cloud die, and a Magnolia sweet fence die to add a bit of feature. The sentiment was a stamp from a bargain set I got in Wilko's a while ago too, and I think it sums up this Bunny rather well.

there is still a week left to play along with this challenge, so I do hope that you will hop on over and join us!

I would like to enter these challneges please:

The One for Leo!

Good Morning to you, my lovely blog chums.....I hope that this post finds you well and keeping in good spirits as much as you possibly can.

I have a "Happy" card to share today.....a lovely young lady, that I work with, gave birth to  a beautiful baby boy last week. She'd had a really difficult pregnancy with horrendous morning sickness pretty much most of the way through, the delivery itself wasn't an easy one and now, in light of current circumstances, they have to isolate themselves for quite a few weeks. I can imagine how awful it must be for the really close family and friends to be missing out on the cuddles in these early weeks......But, a new life is a blessing and a joy, and its lovely, at the moment, to have a reason to feel happy!

so this is my card to welcome Leo.

My lovely friend, Sarah, recently sent me the most gorgeous DL shaped card, and it got me thinking that I've been "doing square" for so long, maybe its time for a change......I had recently treated myself to this gorgeous Bunny image from LOTV (with this occasion in mind), and I thought it would sit on a DL shape nicely. I used promarkers to colour, the sentiment is my own creation using Cinammon Cake font, I added a flower button, blue ribbon with sweet little hearts, and a couple of enamel dots to complete......off to the post box in a while!

I would like to enter this into these challenges:

Just wanted to leave you with a little photo that I took yesterday, I think I am enjoying the simple things in nature at the moment xx

just before we went into lockdown, we persuaded my Mum to upgrade her tablet, she had a 7" kindle fire, which she enjoyed at first but with increasing cataract problems she was having problems using it, and preferred the larger screen of my Fire tablet or Alistair's IPad. We had the foresight to realise that she might come to rely on it , at some point, and so we got her a larger screen Samsung Galaxy tablet, which she now loves to bits, and is providing her with a link with the family, her Church friends as well as having games like Paint by numbers, to occupy some time.....we took her other tablet away, and had the absolute joy of donating it to a local care home, to enable the residents to enjoy video calls with their loved ones.....we sent them today's card with it, which apparently was very well received too!

The One with the Birthday Bear

Good Morning to you, my lovely blog chums......I hope that you are continuing to remain safe and well during this time. One of the highlights of the week, for me at the moment, is Thursday night at 8pm, when we Clap for Carers - in that short space of time I think I go through a wave of 10 different emotions, but I love doing it and I know that the memory of this simple act, will stay with me long after this time has passed.

Anyway, onto a card from my Craft Sesh, earlier in the week:
this lil' beaut was a recent purchase from LOTV.....I usually go for more muted tones, like grey's and beige when I'm colouring Bears, but I fancied trying something slightly different.....using the Burnt Sienna promarker here. I used faux stitched squares die here too. The papers are from an older Trimcraft pad, buttons were from a goody bag that Megan got me for Mothers day.

A Little Thank You

Hello, my lovely blog chums......as we plod through another week in Lockdown, I do hope this finds you well, I do hope that blogging and crafting are playing a part in keeping you going at the moment.

At the weekend, I took my Promarkers, together with a bundle of images out into the garden with me,  and whiled away a good hour, colouring in the sunshine, these were then put to good use on Monday afternoon  - my Craft Afternoon, this is one of my makes........

This is Love Tag from LOTV, isn't it adorable! The original digi did have "with love", as its sentiment but I did tweak it a little, it's such a versatile image and can lend itself to many occasions. As I previously said, this image was coloured with Promarkers. I kept things very simple, and used a couple of off cuts to add a little interest, and a tiny little enamel dot to complete.

I would like to enter these challenges please:

Will finish now, sending huge hugs to you all.......keep safe and  well xx

Kept my card fairly simple, used Promarkers to colour this stamp, an off cut from a yummy Nitwit paper, scalloped edge border die, the sentiment was a pre-made from Digistamp boutique, finished the card with a little button!

The One with the Easter Bunny

Good Morning to you all, my lovely blog chums.
I hope that you are continuing to keep fine and well at the moment. I want to send a huge hug to anyone that is struggling at the moment, for whatever reason.

Because of our circumstances, my daughter is staying with her boyfriend's family during this lockdown time, we video call every day, play online games against each other and I have been able to see her briefly when they dropped off food shopping for us......but still miss her terribly, so today's card is for Megan

This adorable image is called Bunnita carrot cake fuzzypuffs (cute!!!!!) From POLKADOODLES. The papers used here are also from POLKADOODLES, and you can currently grab them as a FREE download....woohooo! Image coloured with ProMarkers. Dies used are faux stitched circle, fancy lacey edged circle, faux stitched border and flower die. Sentiment is my own creation. Ribbon and mini buttons added too.

image and papers are new - flower and border dies are older
oooh tough to choose, but I kind of like using animals imitating people, such at the image i've used today....although I have to say, when I saw this theme my mind instantly went to the song from the first Frozen movie - "Reindeers are Better than people" lol!!!

Birthday Hugs

Good Morning to you, my lovely blog chums....I hope this finds you well and keeping in good spirits, despite the circumstances.

Here in the UK, we are remembering and most importantly Thanking our health workers and other key workers, with clapping (and cheering) from our doorsteps at 8pm on a Thursday night......we were out again last night doing this, and again I found this terribly emotional, but grateful to have the opportunity to show appreciation.

I'm sure many of us are enjoying the opportunity to escape to our craft desks, and the distraction from our troubles......I have been getting ahead with my DT work, as well as a few other makes.....I decided to print out some digi's that have been sitting in a folder on the laptop for ages

Today's card features a Heather Ellis Pure Innocence image that I've had for a while. I have used ProMarkers to colour, this is also a fairly old paper too........I added a couple of buttons to finish.

I would like to enter these challenges:
As You Like It buttons or pearls
Love using both, but buttons are just that bit more versatile....you could add a pearl to a button, but both so easy the other way around!
