Christmas in September!

Hello my lovely blog chums, I hope your weekend has got off to a good start.

We have the opportunity to do a Craft Fair in November, and whilst my Mum has been laid up she has been keeping herself occupied with some crochet items to sell, so I thought I'd better "do my bit", and get some more Christmas cards in the box.....
This adorable LOTV digi, is one of my favourites for Christmas. I have used ProMarkers to colour. The papers are from Papermania Capsule Collection, the sentiment is my own creation using "Humble" and "Champagne and Limousines" font, and was printed into a scrap piece and then cut out using a faux stitched label die from, The Works. The corner tabs were created using a smaller die from the same set. I love combining a swirly type of font  with something more simple and crisp looking....I have saved this sentiment as a png file as I think I will be using it a fair bit over the next few months - I am adding it here - please feel free to grab and save it, if you'd like to use it too!

I am planning on doing this more frequently with my sentiments, so watch this space - if there is anything you'd like to see, by all means, let me know!

Ribbons and Bows at Christmas with the Cuties!

Good morning and Hello to you, my lovely blog chums! I do hope that this post finds you well. It's a over a month since I was last here.....and what a month it's been! Mid August, Alistair and I returned from a wonderful short holiday to Eastbourne with his sister and her husband....the weather had been lovely, the hotel was nice, the air show had been going on there, we'd just had a really good time but a day or so after getting back my Mum took  a tumble whilst out walking her dog, and subsequently broke her hip! After that our days have flown by in a rush of running around looking after her, seeing to Tilly (her dog), keeping on top of things in both her home and mine, looking after our own lively puppy.........oh and still having to go into work too! Our kids, and her neighbours have pitched in to help too which has been fantastic, she is recovering well and slowly now, things are getting closer to "normal"

So much so, that I even managed to make a card......Yay!!!!

Today see's the start of a brand new challenge at
and our theme is
RIBBONS AND BOWS
very easy to accomplish on a Christmas card, methinks!
this completely adorable image is a fairly recent release from
Lili of the Valley
I think it was released as a Christmas digi, but I would day it is versatile enough for other occasions. I have coloured with ProMarkers. The backing paper is from a pad from The Range. I thought the snowflake border die, would make it look a bit more festive. The ribbon and pearl are from my stash. I felt it needed something a little extra, and I dug out a box of wooden Christmas tags, that I had picked up from Sainsbury's in the January sales, with the intention of making my Christmas wrapping look really fancy this year, anyway, I thought this was snowflake was a perfect finishing touch!

Our lovely sponsors for this challenge are our good friends at
Who have a fabby prize for our lucky winner.

So.....have you started making your Christmas cards yet this year, if you have why not hop on over and join us......if you haven't.....now's your chance!!!!

I couldn't possibly close this post without adding one little photo, in the midst of the chaos of the last month we had the most wonderful family celebration, Megan's Graduation 🎓 Day.
It was such a joyous day, I was absolutely bursting with pride! She completed her degree in Mathematics with a 2:1 and has just started teacher training at a boys Grammar school. It's quite a significant point actually, as I decided to launch Christmas with the Cuties three years ago, when Megan first went away to Uni, as a bit of a distraction and challenge for myself....and here we are now, with BOTH going from strength to strength!
