The one with the Birthday Bear

Good Morning,  my lovely blog chums.....I  hope that you've had an enjoyable week....I've now made a decent start on painting the  fence panels....each one is 9ft long, so it's no easy task, but the sunshine and my Amazon music app have kept me going.....I just hope that I've not been singing to loudly, lol

I have several birthdays coming up in the next few weeks, so look at me getting organised......

This super cute lil' bear is a recent treat from LOTV.....coloured with my trusty Promarkers, I did add a wee bit of chalk to create a rosy cheek. It's definitely an image that deserves to cover pretty much most of the card, so I've kept it simple, layering the image onto cute dotty card from Limetree crafts, and a  single button and twine.

Was out last  night for what apparently was the last Clap For Carers, sadly it had tailed off in my road over recent weeks. I always found it very emotional, but it is definitely something that I will remember fondly about this time in our lives.

The one in the little frame

Good Morning,  my lovely blog chums.....hope this lovely, bright morning finds you keeping well and in good spirits.

If there is one thing that I have enjoyed, during this lockdown time, is that I have had the time to make cards that I've LOVED making, not just fulfilling an order or making a  specific  DT card, but I have allowed myself to be more self indulgent, to rummage through my stash and  use digi's, papers and in the case of todays card....my embossing folders,

This gorgeous little image is from Lee Holland, and she is coloured with promarkers, the blue flowery paper is a free download from Polkadoodles, I tweaked the colour tone using serif page plus. The sentiment tag is from LOTV. The flower die is from YNS, I have also used a fancy oval die from spellbinders and a faux stitch scalloped edge border die. I added a section of lace, and a few dollops of liquid pearls.....and the aforementioned embossing folder is from Cuttlebug.

The one with Maisie baking

Good Morning my lovely blog chums, I hope that you are enjoying a lovely sunny day today.....our online food shopping delivery comes this morning. As shielding continues, it is really helpful to be able to do this, and avoid "people contact" in the supermarket, but I do miss mooching around with my trolley......although we do have the Tuesday morning fun of playing......."Substitution Bingo"!!!!

during lockdown I have enjoyed doing some baking....my bathroom scales haven't enjoyed it quite so much, so for now I will stick to digi stamps featuring baking instead, like today's card

I was recently lucky enough to win a POLKADOODLES digi stamp and I chosen this little lovely, as much as I love colouring, I do like to have a few per coloured images too. This is Maisie Mouse, Baking a cake....which you can find here. I followed a skstch, but kept the design fairly simple for easy postage. The mint gingham paper comes from Payper Box, and the pink dots are from Limetree crafts. The sentiment is from LOTV, and I added enamel dots from YNS to complete.

The one with the dotty balloons

Hello my lovely blog chums.....I do hope that you are enjoying your weekend. I can't believe we are nearly at the end of May already - this certainly hasn't been the best of times, but at least it seems to be passing quickly.

I do love a good sketch to base my cards around, and I have used one on today's card:

I have used the super cute Scruffy Edward from LOTV....this has become a little favourite of mine! Have used Promarkers for colouring. Both papers were dug out from my scraps box, I think the lilac one was an old Papermania one that I've had for years! I've added a couple weeks die cut balloons.

We broke out of the house for a short while yesterday, to take the boys to the groomers, neither of them enjoy the experience very much and our worry was that if we left it too much longer the next time they went it would be an arduous task for all concerned.....both boys looking smart and handsome now, and as Harvey gets bigger, it's getting harder to tell them apart!!!

Thanks for visiting today, sending huge hugs, will be back tomorrow with a new "Christmas with the Cuties" challenge......

The one with the gingham cushion

Good morning to you my lovely blog chums....as we plough on through another week of lockdown, I hope that you are keeping well, and keeping your chin up! With everything else that is going on, I find it so comforting and reassuring that it's business as usual, here in the land of blog!

As soon as I spotted the newest releases from Lili of the Valley, I knew that me and this lil' fella had to be together....this digi is called Hearts & Hugs, I tweaked this name to make a cute sentiment!
I used ProMarkers for the colouring, this yummy gingham paper, I think, was from a Simple Stories pad. The sentiment is my own creation using Cinnamon Cake font, and finally X cut die button and a wee bit of twine.

So I mentioned in a previous post that with Megan moving out, I have been able to create my own craft area in her old room. I am a funny one, in the sense that I prefer to stand up when I a card making, and had been looking at console table's and higher desks.....then I managed to acquire a baby changing table, which is the perfect height for me to work at and as great storage underneath! There are all sorts of other bits I hope to add in the fullness of time....when I can get to Ikea! But for now, I am chuffed to bits to have a little area of my own.....

Thank you for visiting me today xx

Silly Monkey is a free download here, and is Coloured with ProMarkers.  The pink gingham paper is also a free download from POLKADOODLES, which you can find here. The other paper is an oldie, so don't have the link for that one. The sentiment is my own creation using Cinnamon Cake font. Finished with balloon die cuts and a little twine.

The Teapot and the sketch

Hello, my lovely blog chums.....I hope that this finds you well. Well, that's another week of lockdown done and dusted, I hope that you are keeping it together and keeping your chin up.

Back in March, my daughter moved into with her boyfriend and his family......and they have since been able to move into a home of their own together. Needless to say, I am sad that Megan won't be coming back to live with us, but I know that she will be very, very happy in her new home - and I have been able to have something of a re-jig with the bedrooms to allow myself to have a decent craft space of my own!!!! I have been setting things up - and I will share a few photos in my next post.

I do have a card to share - no cute image, just for a change, though!!!

my card is based on this sketch

Just a short, sweet post from my today - off to get a hot chocolate and watch Killing Eve!

Crafty Friends and Flowers

Hello my lovely blog chums....I hope that the glorious sunshine today is lifting your spirits!

As I type this post, the hubby is on his own tablet, working his way through our online grocery shop......oh my gosh, it really does require some patience. I've lost count of how many times I've had to spell out "branston" to him....and don't even get me started on the faces he is pulling as the running total of the shop increases.....oh the joys of lockdown food shopping!!!!

So, it's time for a new challenge with
Our theme is
🌼🌺FLOWERS🌺🌼

no sponsors, this time.....just for fun!
For my own card, I am using an absolute sweetie from Sassayaki Glitter, have used ProMarkers to colour. The sentiment was a pre-made from DigiStamp boutique, and was cut out with a fancy label die. The backing paper came from a pad from The Works,  added a couple of pretty blooms, in keeping with the theme.

There is much joy to be found in flowers, the beautiful colours, the lovely scents....so we do hope that this will inspire you to join in with this challenge.

The Sketchy One

Good Morning to you, my lovely blog chums.....I hope that this finds you well, in yourself, and keeping your chin up.

It has been a challenging few days here, as I mentioned before, my husband is having to "shield" isolate , and obviously I am doing pretty much the same by way of solidarity and support, but he is struggling with this at the moment, feeling miserable and in a way loosing sight of why it is so important that he does these measures......I, literally, Thank God every day that I have things to occupy my mind, like my craft projects - otherwise, I fear for HIS safety, lol !!!!

Anyway, on to today's card:
I had coloured this gorgeous image and spent ages faffing around trying different papers and layouts, but nothing felt "right", then I stopped for a while - found a fabby sketch and everything just fell into place! This super cute image is  called "dressed up" from LOTV,  in the full image she is wearing a pretty little frock, she is coloured with promarkers. The several different dies used here: The circular frame features a faux stitched scalloped edge die from The Works, a tiny scalloped edge border, and then a lovely lacy border die, which I think was from Marianne designs. I used an embossing folder that was a  old magazine freebie.

This is the sketch I used:

The one with the Bedtime Story

Hello, my lovely blog chums.....once again, I hope that this finds you well and keeping your chin up at the moment. The company that I work for have started to re-open some of our stores, and as such some of my colleagues are now back at work.
On the whole I am relieved that I am still furloughed, and able to safeguard in my little "bubble", we have now (finally!!!) got a food shopping delivery slot sorted, and are well placed to shield ourselves away from this virus for the time being.......but at the same time, I have really missed my work friends, I miss the random chat, the laughter, the companionship.....and, when the time comes for me to go back to work, I'm sure I will be happy to do so, I have worked there for 14 years now, and in recent years I have spent much of that time grumbling about, now, very trivial things it......If I have learnt one thing during this lockdown time, it is "not to take things for granted" - food, friendship, hugs, work, health, family, I could go on, each are precious in their own way.  I am so, so glad I have this "land of blog" to loose myself in, I really appreciate your virtual company folks, and although we may never share an actual pot of tea together, I have enjoyed many a cuppa, recently whilst browsing your blogs xx

Anyway, I do have a card to share.....

I used the super cute Bedtime Stories digi from LOTV, which is coloured with Promarkers, the sentiment is my own creation using Cinammon Cake font (again!!), the sweet dotty paper is from Anna-Marie designs, I dusted of my old X-cut  scalloped border punch, and added die cuts using a fancy circle with a faux stitched border from The Works.....I also added a bit of gingham ribbon!
