Is it too early for something Festive???

Hello there, hope you are having a great weekend.....and hopefully enjoying some sunshine. I ploughed through a huge pile of ironing this afternoon....but it didn't feel quite such a traumatic experience as I took the ironing board out onto the patio!

My poor wee blog has been feeling a bit neglected as the last few weeks have been super busy - nothing massively exciting, garden renovations, fence painting, shed demolishing, new shed building, trawling around various local dealerships looking for a new car, work, work and work to sum it all up really.

A few weeks ago I celebrated my cough..cough....43rd birthday, my lovely kids ordered me a few stamps and some Nitwit papers from LOTV, one of the stamps is featured below, and my hubby had given me some money to get a new handbag and whilst out looking for said handbag, I had popped into The Works for a quick browse and I found these adorable little paper bags....I got three packs and have been itching to decorate one since!

I thought these bags would be a lovely addition to my table when I do a couple of Christmas fairs later in the year.

This project features
  • James, hanging up the stocking, from LOTV
  • cut with Spellbinders fancy edge oval die
  • coloured with promarkers
  • dotty ribbon, twine and button from The Ribbon Girl
  • green ribbon from local fabric store
  • card candi from The Glitter pot
  • DP was a magazine freebie download, changed colour tone in serif page plus

For my own DT card I was lucky enough to work with Winter Stanley from Beccy's Place

my DT card features:
  • Winter Stanley from Beccy's Place
  • Coloured with Promakers
  • Sentiment is my own effort
  • Dotty paper from stash
  • Snowflake is from Marianne Creatables (it was cut out onto card and then triple embossed*, but will come back to that)
  • enamel dots from stash
Having seen so many great challenges close recently, we are super excited to be restarting, so do come and join in the fun.

* I was recently lucky enough to be given 15 pots of One Upon a Stamp extra thick embossing crystals, in various different colours (used Pearl Blue here) apart from triple embossing I am not entirely sure how else to use these, so any hints, tips and suggestions will be appreciated

Ribbons & Pearls with Creatalicious

Hello there, and thank you so much for visiting me today, hope you had a great weekend. When we moved into our house we were lucky enough to inherit a shed/workshop that a previous owner had built, it is 8ft by 10ft so really roomy but it is really close to the house so not only does it obscure the light into my kitchen, but it is also slap-bang in the middle of what could be a superb patio area. So we have decided to dismantle it and move it to a more suitable spot and that is pretty much what we've all been up too....its a slow, steady process as we don't want my hubby to overdo it, but we'll get there!

its time for a new Creatalicious Challenge, and this time its all about the Ribbons and Pearls..............

 our lovely sponsors are:

Di's digi stamps
who's offering a $12 voucher to the winner

&

is offering 2 images of winner's choice

our lovely friends at Dr Digi, also provided some amazing images for our DT to play with, I chose "Blunderwoman" (which does bring back childhood memories of Bella Emberg in a very similar costume, lol) now I have to say that as an image this was a bit of a departure from the cute-ness that I would normally go far, but it was a fab image to colour nonetheless (even her ample bosom!)

this card also features:
  • image coloured with promarkers
  • paper was an old download, with colour changed to co-ordinate
  • sentiment created on serif
  • Xcut star die
  • ribbon and pearls from stash (pearls coloured with promarkers to co-ordinate)

My fellow Creatalicious teamies have also made some stunning cards for this challenge, so we hope you will hop on over and join in!

One happy little step-granny!

In my last post, a few days ago, I mentioned that I was just back from a trip to Scotland to meet a new member of our family.......and this little lady is our beautiful Grand-daughter Erin, who arrived on 5th May

obviously, I couldn't wait to get my hand on her!

and my hubby considered it his Grandad-ly duty to buy the biggest bear in Toys r us

you do forget how tiny these little ones are!

changing the subject slightly, but I have never seen bluebells this shade before!

spotted this in my step-daughters garden, not to sure what it is - but I want one!
Any suggestions?

 have a lovely weekend all!
