Pink tinged with blue...

Hello there, hope you're enjoying your weekend,,,,hasn't it been lovely to see some sunshine in the UK this week - lets hope it continues!

A few days ago Megan gave me a list of cards that she wanted me to make for her teachers, as she will be leaving sixth form in a few weeks. Obviously I am only too happy to oblige with the cards, but at the same time I felt another pang of sadness as this is bringing us closer to the end of this chapter in her life. The start of the next chapter should see her going away to University later in the year, and whilst to her face I am being cheery and optimistic about this when I'm on my own, this is when the tears come and I feel so heavy hearted about having to say goodbye and drive away. I know that I am being ridiculous and she will probably have the most amazing experience.....but this is tough one for me! Soooo, it made sense to get the cards done whilst I still have some composure and I'm not a complete blubbering wreck.

I treated my self to this absolute cutie from Digi stamp boutique as I thought it would be perfect for some of the cards
d

my card features:
  • thank you teacher - from Digi stamp boutique
  • coloured with promarkers
  • doily from Dovecraft
  • pink dotty card from Anna-marie designs
  • papermania capsule collection paper
  • wooden flower and pearl from stash
  • ribbon from ribbon box
I would like to enter:
in the pink challenge - for a child (hope this counts that its for my daughter to give her teacher)

thank you for stopping by today, always appreciate the visits and thoughtful comments xx

  1. Such a pretty card Lisa and it's sure to be much appreciated and admired by Mrs Doran. I remember those feelings Lisa but time flies. Dec is now living with his Girlfriend and settled and Connor ( the baby!) is just about to finish Uni and has just exchanged contracts on his first apartment, so it will be empty nest syndrome for us. Think I may need a pup to nurture...best ask Suzy first though!! xx

Don't worry about uni - it's not that bad when it actually happens xx

  4. Beautiful card Lisa, amazing how quickly the time goes. My youngest had is footie presentation last night. They are 15/16 year olds, you look at the photos and can't believe how they have changed. A group of them started when they were 6 year olds!
