ANYTHING GOES, WITH PASSION FOR MARKERS

Hello there my lovely blog chums......I hope that this post finds you keeping well and coping with the business that December brings! I could really,  really use a pause button, at the moment, it's been such a full on month for us, hubby has been experiencing further difficulties with his Stoma, which eventually led him back to hospital - he has kidney stones which may be exacerbating the problem - and we have had to make numerous trips in for all number of scans and blood tests, he had an operation to put stents in, and I think they are going to remove the stones in the new year.........on top of this my daughter and her partner have moved house, I've still had work to go to and have been frantically running round trying to do the Christmas shopping.....unfortunately this has left me massively behind in blogging my DT cards, but I'm going to attempt to catch up!!!

So, I will start with our current challenge at 

PASSION FOR MARKERS

 Our theme for the Mega Christmas challenge is “anything goes”.  We don't mind what you create for this challenge, as long as you colour with your markers!  You are welcome to make Christmas creations but as the challenge will still be running after the ‘BIG’ day you can of course make any type of creation.  As time is precious for our DT at this time of year we are limiting the number of entries you can make to just 3 for this month long challenge.  Please remember to be eligible for our prizes you must use your markers such as Promarkers, Copics, Spectrum Noir, Karin, Zig Clean Color etc

For my own DT make, I am using these adorable sledging Bunnies from LOTV, together with a LOTV sentiment label too. I am using Promarkers to colour,  pairing soft minty green shades with the red. The dotty paper is from a Doodlebug pad, I added faux stitched corners, and a border for a bit of detail.

This is one of my favourite ribbons, and always lovely to work with.

Hello there my lovely blog chums........hope you've been having a good week. I am still away on my "late-cation", if you will, in Dorset. Its been a very enjoyable break so far.

I  am  using JMC Designs image ‘Whinnie’ from the ‘Happy Campers’ collection). JMC images always look so bright and colourful, and my mother is keen on bright colours,  so I thought this would be perfect for her birthday card. I am using Promarkers to colour - lime zest, cocktail pink and pastel yellow  (3 of a kind). The papers are from Doodlebug. Sentiment is my own creation. I was lucky enough,  recently, to be nominated by my good friend Sarah, to receive a gorgeous bundle of ribbon - from  Crafty Ribbons. One of the Ribbons in this bundle was made to be on this card! I also added enamel dots, from YNS  - another three of a kind.

Anything Cute......with The Cutie Pies

 Hello there, my lovely bog chums.....hope your week has started well. As I type this we are currently enjoying a few days away from home......it is hubby's birthday this week  and we decided to squeeze in bit of a last jolly of the year to celebrate.  He loves the Dorset coast, and choose to come to Weymouth. We are staying near a nature reserve, close to Chesil beach, and we enjoyed a lovely walk around there this afternoon....at some  point we will take the dogs for a run on Weymouth beach.....Will I brave enough to take the Skechers off and feel the sand beneath my feet.

I have made a wall hanging,  which I think will grace my porch, in a few weeks time. It was a wooden tag, which I repainted using a Farrow and Ball tester pot. I put together a digital collage using a Nitwit download paper, together with elements from a Nitwit digiscrapping kit, to which I added an adorable Polkadoodles coloured digi, called  Lucky Present - you can find it here

 Hello there my lovely blog chums......hope you've had a lovely weekend. 

Something of an exciting one here, as we went to pick up my new car on Saturday morning......I had a little red Seat Mii, which had started to develop a few issues so hubby had decided that we'd trade her and now I have a Dacia Sandero...this was all very nice, but it also gave us the opportunity to stop off for lunch at one of my favourite garden centres - at the moment they have  wonderful Christmas displays (I have my eye on a few of the Christmas Village ornaments) so I am hoping to get over there in a  week or so and take Mum for a run out too.

Anyway, on the subject of lovely Christmas stuff....it is time for a new challenge at

For my own DT card I am using a favourite of mine, this swet carolling mousie from LOTV. I am using Promarkers to colour, and I fussy cut this digi and attached to a tag die cut, which I had embossed with Swiss Dots folder from Cuttlebug. I also used a little off cut at the top of a Doodlebug paper. The sentiment is a stamp, for a change, from a Penny Black set. The dp is a magazine freebie download, which I edited in serif page plus to change the colour tone, to match. I added a panel in the middle to cover a little ink smudge, which I think I got away with!!!! Finally added enamel dots from YNS  to complete.

I am a massive fan and I was delighted to use Little Gardener - she is so sweet and I love the wee neckerchief on the dog. I am using Promarkers for my colouring. The floral paper, was floating around in my remnants box, so I'm unsure of its brand. The curly....or I would call it fluffy...cloud, is a Paper smooches die cut. Its one of those that cuts an outline, but I find running it through the big shot just the once, enables me to keep the inside in place too, which is another nice way to use this die. Again, I have used my new corner dies  - I can see these becoming a regular addition to my cards! Oooh, I also stamped a little sentiment onto the digi image, to complete.

Down on the Farm with The Cuties

 Hello there, my lovely bog chums....I hope you had a lovely weekend. It was a fairly - and much needed quiet one here!

So its time for a new challenge, today, with The Cutie Pies, and our theme is

For my own  DT card I couldn't resist printing off one of my fave oldies from, Digistamp Boutique. I am using Promarkers to colour. This paper combo comes from "My Favourite Things" and I thought the plaid design, particularly was very apt for the theme. I decided to add a little detail with a label die cut in half and a tiny flower added. I had also recently found a pack of corner dies, reduced to a £1, obviously I couldn't leave it there at that price and I certainly couldn't wait to try it out.

Santa and Rudolph

 Hello there my lovely blog chums.....hope all is well with you!

I'd had a few days booked off from work, and we had planned to book a last minute little holiday in Devon. However, given the recent petrol situation, especially here in the South East,  we decided to postpone this trip until next year. We were a bit disappointed,  of course,  but I've busied myself today, at my craft desk. I had a lovely afternoon colouring,  preparing a DT card, and made another Christmas card for my box.

This lil' sweetie is a Wild Rose Studio stamp, coloured with Promarkers. I am using a couple of remnants from my scrap box, die cut into a square and pennant. I added a festive sentiment to complete.I used the sketch shown below, as my design for this card.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend away at  Hayling Island. The weather was gorgeous and with the dogs we enjoyed some great walks along the seafront. Hello there my lovely blog chums.....hope you've had an enjoyable weekend.  It started off as a bit of a damp, gloomy day yesterday, but as it brightened up the hubby started to get a bit restless indoors so suggested a late afternoon drive down to the coast.....well I'm always up for that! We enjoyed a bag of chips beside the beach before a stroll along the seafront....sunsets on the North Kent coast are always lovely!

 Hello there, lovely blog chums.....I hope that you had good weekend, and your week has got off to a good start. On Saturday afternoon, the hubby decided that he was bored and wanted to be out and about, so we jumped into the car picked up Fish and Chips at Whitstable, then sat on the beach to eat. We then drove along to Herne Bay, and sat at a beach front cafe with an ice cream and watched the evening sunshine turn into a lovely sunset. Bliss!!!!

 Hello there my lovely blog chums.....I hope that you are having a great week.  Its been another busy one here, as I am back at work following my thumb injury. Still feeling sore and stiff, so I am being cautious. Equally busy at home too, as we are replacing one of our garden sheds, next month,  and we have been able to sell the current one on but this has meant a thorough clear out, and so we have been selling on or giving away things that probably seemed essential when they were purchased but had cluttered up the shed for so long!!!

Favourite Colours with PASSION FOR MARKERS

 Hey lovely blog chums, I hope that this finds you well! 

You may remember from my previous post that I recently injured my thumb....its been uncomfy two weeks as I recover, I have been back to the hospital and no longer need to wear the wrist splint. It is still a little swollen and I am having to do some physio at home to improve movement and grip. It's not been easy, either,  to do much in the way of crafting and blogging.....fortunately I had made my DT card for this weeks PASSION FOR MARKERS challenge, before I fell over!!!

Clean and Simple at Christmas with the Cuties

 Hello there my lovely blog chums......I hope you've had a good weekend, mine started with a bump - literally!!! I toppled over my own feet at work on Friday, as I was climbing down from a step stool, and somehow as I tried to break my fall, I managed to dislocate my thumb. I had to go to the emergency department at the hospital and I now have a glove splint in place. 

I have to speak to the fracture clinic later in the week, after they have seen my x-rays, and am hoping that I haven't incurred any ligament damage....its still quite sore, but starting to feel a little better.

Anyway enough of my injuries......
